  • aw my 9YO boy has just come in from school, every week a few children get to have lunch on the head's table, he was on there today and said 'i cant have school dinners anymore, its too much money and were saving up for the wedding' lol bless!
its not about the wededing but it is too much with his little bro going to the same school for lunchclub after nursery who charge for looking after them then again for a hot meal it would have cost £100's over the term so sandwhiches are much cheaper!

    hi gemm
do you mean the cream was already at the parlour or do you take ur own

At the parlour, it was £5. It's the cream they use for circumsion so it's very numbing!

Booked it yet bubbles? I hope you get the exact date you want; I was very disappointed when I didn't get the date I wanted, but only had to go a week earlier so not too bad in the end!

ETA: has anyone printed on 2 sides of the matt inserts that you buy from Pure Invitation? If I can print 2 sides then I only need 1 insert rather than 2 saving some money - there I go again! Tightwad. :(
If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.
  • not yet joho, still a few more days to go till im allowed, might have to wait till friday yet anyway till i get paid and its not for a couple of years so i better get the date lol
no your not a tight wad just mse! it all adds up and if you can get away with it its not a bad thing!
i havent used that so cant say sorry

  • Hello all!
I've had a month's hiatus from all thing Wedding as I've been mega busy with moving house then having a short (but much needed) holiday to France.

But now it's time to get back on it - we need to finalize the initial guest list, send save the dates, book entertainment etc.

On a plus note, we've booked our honey moon :D (well the flights at least, still working on an itinery) - going to central america for 3 weeks :D

I also need to start thinking seriously about wedding dresses.
I'm torn between a lovely Monsoon style, or getting one made bespok (a friend has offered to make me one).

Bak to the Wedding Madness for me!
  • welcome back rainbow :) let the fun rebegin:D
have you an idea of what design dress you want or is it much the same as the monsoon
id say if it was the monsoon go with that but if you cant find any that make you go 'yep thats the one' go bespoke
im just trying to find the one i want in my budget-they dont really go into a logistical sentence:o

  • I have finally finished my flowers! (have put a pic in the 'Do your own wedding flowers' thread! It feels really real now! Less than 5 weeks to go!

I have tried on a few dresses in Monsoon, and one of them I really liked, although I would want to customize it by adding stuff like beading & lace trims.

It just a case of deciding on whether to get a Monsoon Dress & customise it, or get something based on the style, but even more individualized.

My friend has kindly offered to do either, and all I pay for are materials :o

I know what you mean - I went to a bespoke shop a couple of weeks ago & ended up running out as the dresses were so expensive! :rotfl:
  • have you asked your friend how much it would cost to make then? would it be cheaper than monsoon? if so get it made if not wait for the sale!
im drooling over designer websites then running off to preloved and the like hoping to get my dream dress at 75% off price...not happening at the mo,ive got a while to [STRIKE]dream[/STRIKE]go though
