The cheaper photographers don't cover where we're getting married. So how do I raise/save 800 pound to get the one I really want?No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

lexxi i havnt heard that about flowers and i would actually talk to ur family and say its only a small affair so its just so and so invited yeah id send day and night out at the same time
well done nunny im dyin to do some vista but stil think its just a tad too soon lol
gemm im a believer in if u dont ask u dont get, what exactly do u want?all day or just most prominent bits? If u just cover those they shouldnt charge as much .can u ask them for a bit of a discount for early booking because u r in love with their work?I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
I'm just about to try and get free business cards and postacrds from vistaprint and the other sites, it's not for the wedding I'm just taking advantage of the free stuff!!
Today I will start on my invites!!! I didn't want to do the invites and then send them out with menus on them as my back up plan was to not have a meal which would half what I needed to pay out (depending on the contract) I think we'll just scrape through, which I never thought I'd say about my wedding! Both sets of parents have contributed and me and OH have both had interviews for jobs this week and some lined up too, in this climate at least it's 2/3 of the way there!
Anyway,
Do I send out my day and evening invites together? I'm inviting aunties but not cousins I don't want people to assume that this is an open invite as some family dos are. One in particular may just assume she can bring her children, they're about 18 or so now anyway so not little/don't need babysitters.
And, flowers, I think I read not to contrast your flowers to much with your dress as the pics don't turn out as well, has anyone else heard this?
Funny you said that, I was looking at pics of a new bride yesterday on another forum, and her flowers were ivory, same as her dress.
On some of the pics, it looks like she is holding a bunch of greenery, as you can't see her flowers because they blend into the dress!
I'd always go for flowers with a hint of colour in them, or have some greenery poking out at the top so you can see that there are actually flowers in there lol
Mine are cream, ivory, pink and hot pink, to go with my shoes and they're blinkin gorgeous if I say so myselfTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

They seem to only work to set packages but I guess I could ask about more limited coverage. But since it's a Saturday in June, I'm thinking they could easily get work. I am considering asking for their current price if I book now - as it's likely to go up by 2012.
My friend used them and she has over 600 pictures! It's £1200 for two photographers and £950 for one.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

Lexxi I'm having a stab at starting our invites today as well. Did a rough copy at 7 this morning while I had nothing to do:T
Don't tell me that!! You've ages to go, mine could really do with going out this week  I did the lettering on it Saturay night and need to get all my bits and pieces together, I'm not totally sure about them though, I think.
How have yours gone?
I might check with the photographer on the flower colours, I have a cream, coffee and chocolate coloured foam flowers from the garden centre, so I could have coffee/cream whilst the BMs could have chocolate with a bit of coffee or cream in them. I need to figure it out as I could do with getting a few more bunches from the garden centre0 -
Badly.....so badly I'm not making them anymore
I really can't be doing with the stress of it not going right. I wanted to throw the printer out of the window last night!!

Oh dear, sorry to hear that!! I had real trouble getting some of mine to print properly, I had to mess about with the settings for ages, otherwise I got things all over, they're lined up now. I'm just finding it so boring :rotfl:0
