Glad you had a great time melly, what was the weather like, did you get to spend any time in the hot tub? Where exotic are you going?

It was lovely weather most of the time actually! Apart from the last day, but we did indoors stuff most of the day so it didn't really effect us.

We made full use of the hot tub haha, the night we got there some of our friends had somehow managed to organise a gift hamper to be delivered containing champagne, chocolates and other stuff. It was enjoyed in the hot tub the second we opened it, I wish married life was like that every day :rotfl:

And first on the list is Australia, however for the money we received I can look at round the world tickets as well :D

I think that's such a great idea I'm putting hamper on my gift list as we're hoping to go to the lakes, it'll be self catering and it'd be nice if we didn't have to the supermarket on our honeymoon!!

In a bit of a pickle!

As I've previously posted I had a lovely lady who was going to do my invitations for me. I have been communicating backwards and forwards for about a month now trying to get the design right and we finally seemed to agree on what I wanted.

Today she sent me yet another sample and it's still not what I asked for. Too many issues now to be put right!

How can I tell this woman that I don't want her to make the invitations anymore after I told her that I definitely wanted her to make them? I feel I can do a better job of them myself to be truthful

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
you could lie and just say 'somethings come up and i wont be needing the invites anymore' not strictly lieing as she didnt make them right so....
or you could say 'actually ive been having a go myself and its not too bad, im going to DIY'
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p

Thanks bubbles, I emailed her back last night on the advice of some friends and just said that the wedding budget had changed (which it has and we can no longet afford them) and I was making them myself (which I will be)

I'm just about to try and get free business cards and postacrds from vistaprint and the other sites, it's not for the wedding I'm just taking advantage of the free stuff!!

Today I will start on my invites!!! I didn't want to do the invites and then send them out with menus on them as my back up plan was to not have a meal which would half what I needed to pay out (depending on the contract) I think we'll just scrape through, which I never thought I'd say about my wedding! Both sets of parents have contributed and me and OH have both had interviews for jobs this week and some lined up too, in this climate at least it's 2/3 of the way there!

    Anyway,
Do I send out my day and evening invites together? I'm inviting aunties but not cousins I don't want people to assume that this is an open invite as some family dos are. One in particular may just assume she can bring her children, they're about 18 or so now anyway so not little/don't need babysitters.

And, flowers, I think I read not to contrast your flowers to much with your dress as the pics don't turn out as well, has anyone else heard this?

    OMG I'm such a dunce! 5dunce.gif5dunce.gif5dunce.gif5dunce.gif5dunce.gif5dunce.gif5dunce.gif

Thought the only thing in the box was the Save The Date cards as I'd ordered some labels as well and they said the labels were sent separately. Showed OH the cards when he got home from work and he asked what the two envelopes were in the bottom of the box.....my labels are here too!!

Lexxi I'm having a stab at starting our invites today as well. Did a rough copy at 7 this morning while I had nothing to do:T

Don't know anything about flowers though....sorry:o
