Good news, I used the secure messaging system on nationwides website and have been told that nationwide experienced technical problems with the rollout and gave me the choice of either ordering the new type of cards which will be with me within ten days or a guarantee that the new cards will be in place by september. I chose the ten day option.

i shall have to give that a try then cheers

  • Well, just rung up the Nationwide Account Opening Processing team, as it has been nearly 10 days, they told me my account was opened on 10th August and my CashCard+, Account Details etc, have been sent out to me! :)
  • I received letter telling me that new costs for withdrawing cash abroad don't come into effect till November 2010. Another letter confirmed that my new cash card+ is up and running and if i wanted to cancel old account to contact them otherwise it would remain active. Anyone else get letters like this.?

Had the 'Your account is changing' letter yesterday, still no sign of the cashcard+ still waiting for them to replace it on the roll out of replacements.

just received a replacement cashcard no cashcard +
  • I'm confused now, what will I get?
Will I get the CashCard+, as this is the account I have opened (CashCard+ Account), and the guy on the phone told me I would be able to use my new card to pay for stuff over the Internet and via Chip & Pin in shops, Direct Debit, as well as the usual drawing cash out of machines etc...

I applied through online banking for new account and was offered Cash vard+. Got letter about week ago asking for signature which i completed and returned. Today got home and new cash card+ lying on mat. Card has different sort code and account number and now have basic account and cash card+. Will go into work tomorrow and transfer wage details to new card.
Am wondering then if they will go ahead and give me an upgrade on old account or leave it since i already have cash card+ as don't know if you can have 2 cash card+'s in same name. Either way, its here!!

Just confirmed with Nationwide that my old account will be upgraded to Cash card+ when the roll out is done so from going with no debit card facility, i'll have two visa debit cards.!!!

If you apply online or in store now you will get the cash card+, if you are waiting for the roll out as per previous postings and contact them to say you have lost your card and need a replacement, you'll get the same card again. Only when your name comes up on the rollout will you get the cash card+.
