Nationwide Cash Card +

Anyway it's not ethical...., even basic ATM cards should be able to withdraw monies from abroad.
Ethics are un-measurable. Whats ethical to one person is unethical to another.
If you think this is bad you should try Lloyds TSB's basic bank account, the "Cash Account". The cashcard for that account can only be used at Lloyds TSB ATMs, even in the UK. You can't use any other ATMs at all, although you can use it over the counter at the post office.0 -
I'm a bit confused and I hope someone can help. A few weeks ago I received a blue Visa Debit Card for Nationwide, it had my flexaccount details on it. Anyway I thought his was the new cash card+ that I was due to get, well today I have received in the post a purple cash card+ debit card with the same flexaccount details on it. What on earth is going on? Are they both to be used for the one account or do I cut one up and just use one, which one? I'm confused..Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Ethics are measurable. Teacher sleeping with pupil is unethical, slave labour, santander customer service. Lack of guilt and conscience is what you're talking about.
Oversimplified basic rule of thumb around ethics in business practice is "Would you be happy for your mother to know? If not probably unethical".Santander are awful - mission in life is to warn people since 17-Sep-10, 18-Sep-10 realised one of thousands.0 -

The blue one is a full current account & the purple is the basic bank account.
What account did you have before you had these debit cards or are you a new member?
With you saying you was expecting a CashCard+ I'm suspecting you had a CashCard account so the purple one is the 'upgrade' but, I'd still use the blue oneProudly Banking & Saving With:

Personally I'd keep both & use the blue one

I have had both a basic flexaccount and a savings account with them for just over 10 years now. I just used to have a cashcard before these appeared..
Just found another Cashcard+ debit card in the drawer, so that now makes 2 Cashcard+ debit cards and 1 Visa Debit card..I wonder if anymore will appear in the post..lol
What's the difference between the blue and purple card? Don't they both do the same thing now? Oooh I'm all a-confused..lolMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

If they all have the same flex account number use the one with the latest valid from date. If you have 2 for the same month & one is blue (the full current account) I'd use that one but, keep the latest purple (CashCard+ basic bank account) handy - just in case
Essentially they both the same but the blue one allows for overdraft as it's a full current account & the purple one you can't have overdraft as it's a basic bank account.

Thank you Fedz for the replies, you have been very helpful. I am going to do what you suggest. Wish they had told me that I was given the upgrade when they sent my blue card, all I got was a letter saying here is your replacement card..
Now to hope they restore the money they took from a direct debit one month early..and they better not charge me for it.. I hit them with the direct debit indemnity clause, probably frighten them into submission. Oh and I am going to claim the charge back from the other direct debit they bounced because they took the money for that one on a dd that wasn't supposed to go out. I do love Nationwide..lol. Oh and it does help being married to a bank manager too, although he couldn't help me with the card situationMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Does anyone know if you have a cash card Plus account if NW will upgrade this to a full flex account after a period of satisfactory banking ? Also what are they like for updating transactions ? I know Barclays and Natwest you can see credits due on Monday on the previous saturdays balance0
-
I don't know about the upgrading, but they don't work by crystal ball like Barclays, i.e. you can't see credits in advance. They only show on the actual day.0
-
Oh crumbs I didn't realise the cash card plus had debit card functionality so I can use it in shops. I got sent mine weeks ago and didn't twig. That's actually a big help, will save getting cash out for things all the time and being tempted to waste the change on Costa coffee!0
