Can you use it to pay at the pump? Or do you go into the petrol station to hand your card to the cashier? It's the 'putting my card into the pump to pay' aspect I'm finding difficult and with two little children it's really annoying, what do you do? Leave them in the car eeek! or get snooty looks for wasting time putting them in and out eeeek!0 -

I've just sent another e-mail to tesco to try and find out if they are accepting co-op visa debit cards (4508) for online groceries. I've mentioned this forum and that some people are seemingly being allowed to shop on-line for groceries after a test amount (£2). So I'll let you know what happens! I desperately want to do my shopping on-line at Tesco's but it was b****y embarrasing last time to get a phonecall to say terribly sorry but your cards not been accepted and I don't want that to happen again! Yes I know there are ways around it but I simply want to do it with my co-op debit card!

You would think they would want to update their databases or whatever it is they need to do pretty damn sharpish... no wonder M&S are thought to struggle to make a substantial profit - the amount of orders they refuse!0 -

If some people are saying their cards work maybe they have fixed the problem on newer cards. Why don't you report your card lost and see if the new one is any different.
The problem has been the AID on the card is visa electron which is why the p@pump declines it instantly. Maybe they have got round to updating this on the newer cards.

Hi,
Just wondering was yours ever refused? I'm just feeling a little paranoid that they have put a big red cross against cards that had previously been refused and I will order my shopping and again on the delivery day get "the dreaded phonecall". I would really hate to be made to feel like a **** again! So has anyone who was refused previously been able to shop at Tesco's on-line for their groceries?
