Co op visa card refused

pmd, I have had the same problem with transpennine express, they have replied to my emails, first of all saying it is because it is electron, so I sent them a stroppy mail pointing out it is not electron, I have had 2 back apologising and saying they are looking into it, I am still waiting.

I have now drafted a lovely letter to their md, in which will be lots of examples of why my card should be accepted as it isn't an electron, I will not be letting this rest!!

It is really odd,could be where I live they haven't updated their systems. Will try again in a few weeks time,see if it goes through:D

I would hope that as time goes on the retailers will update their bin systems as they realise that this card is now a Visa debit no an electron.

The question is where have you used it? I personally have not had a problem, however I have not tried to use Tesco online, or any petrol pay at the pumps. Also I think M&S online could still be a problem.

I have used mine on tesco grocery online and have had no problems (as mentioned in other threads) the only place I have been unable to use it is pay at pump when my sister had "forgotten" her purse;) .My card starts 4508 and was issued in april 2010

We went shoping at Tesco saturday and it took 4 goes for the machine to accept the card. Normally no problems.
I also done a online shop at Marks and Spencers and it was rejected. They had me down has a Miss instead of a Mr so did not match up with bank details. Once I had changed it to Mr no problem.
Just check when paying on line name on card is as written on payment form online.

I also had to pay for travelodge on line. I clicked visa debit it did not accept the card. I clicked on just Visa and tried again and it worked. Only problem then got charged £2 fee. No fee for visa debit.

The only place mine has been at Asda pay at pump, Tesco pay at pump is fine. Havent tired Tesco on line yet, but been using places like Kiddicare.com, Play.com etc with no problems. Had no problems with Primark either!!
