Travelling to London from Leicester, ideally this Saturday 9th but can do Sunday as well as the following Friday, 15th if any cheaper. Two adults and one 15 year old.
Anyone know of a discounted fare, can't find anything cheaper than £34 pp. on megatrain. Plus on top we would need to get travel cards in London so overall cost would be too high at this price.0 -
That IS a discounted fare - and on the cheap side unless you book weeks ahead.
However with a Family and Friends Railcard (which I think is £28 but could be used on future trips) it would cost you a shade over £60 total using advance singles. That's on 9th on selected trains0 -

Do you have any railcards?
How many people travelling?
Any children travelling?0 -
By train it's over £100 return and a 6 hour travel time, by coach it's £18 and a 16 hour travel time.
If there's more than one of you then one way car hires might be the best option. For future reference booking less than a month before date of travel isn't going to get you decent fares at the best of times let alone when travelling to the biggest arts event on the planet.0 -

thanks
Take it's either a 16-25 or Senior railcard but on the East Coast Website there's some £28.80* advance singles available each way per person, so possible to do the return journey for £57.60
