Hi I am new to this forum and was wondering if someone could help, I am looking for the cheapest return train tickets from,Grimsby to London (pref Victoria) I am not a big user of trains, and have had a look around but can't seem to find any stand out cheap fares.
It will be on the 29th June, arriving before 3pm and departing after 6pm, as I have been invited to the Royal Garden Party.
Thanks in advance.0 -

I have just had a quick look on http://www.hulltrains.co.uk/ and you can get it each way from grimsby for £22.50 and thats a U1 ticket which is one journey on the tube in each direction.
Green park would probably be your best bet for Buck palace though. Go have a look on that site and have a play around with the timings as the outward gets you there at 1430 which is a bit tight and the return is late too but if you want cheap then try that. Or splitting your journey too
Do you hold any railcards?one of the famous 50 -
Due to go London from derby at the end of this month (return). I ordered the free family tailgate and still not received it. Are their any other good deals out there?0

http://www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk/Pages/default.aspx give an extra discount on your ticket if you buy direct from them.

Depends on where your leaving from as we are not mind readers. Beware as your going for football(maybe i can read minds) then there will probably be no advance tickets leftone of the famous 50 -

Well assuming you mean from London, then you can save about a fiver using advance tickets - there's still a £30.50 fare on the 1855 return, with £35 outward being available on all trains.0 -
Hi all,
I have to go Liverpool on Sunday 29th, returning on the 31st May 2011.
I am not much of a rail user to be honest and just have used the London Underground at most but I am required to go Liverpool for 2 days. I was wondering whether anyone can help me in obtaining the cheapest possible tickets?
Outward journey (29th): departure to be after lunch, or even before
Inward journey (31st): to leave Liverpool in the evening on Tuesday.
I was hoping to stop by Manchester for a few hours, where permitted to see a friend but as I am no freeuent user, to say the least, of the railway, I dont knowhow this will affect the fare.
I hope someone can help. Thank you soo much in advance!
