Thats a massive Journey and many permutations of tickets to get you there..
cheapest i found one way just by not splitting is the 1533 which gets you into Norwich at 0116 @ £51.. maybe someone can look into splitting tickets for you tomorrow.."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -

Hi all
Complete disaster, car is off the road and I need to get to Newcastle next friday (25th Feb) and return the Sunday (27th Feb)
Main stations that are close to me are Birmingham New Street, Stafford, Lichfield.
I'm aware that London Midland are doing the £10 fare deal, but thats about as much as my knowledge on trais and stations is.
I need to be in Necastle by 18:00 at the latest, and back to the stations named above before 23:00 on the sunday.
Hope someone can help

those stations you mention are not really going to help you much i dont think.. there is a train direct from brum to Newcastle and cheapest direct outbound i found was 61 and the cheapest return was £34. thats without splitting..
Now on that you could change at york but given your wanting to travel on a fri back sun you may not be able to get that cheaper with splitting because that route is hellish popular.

I need to get to Chipping Norton from Scotland return. Going from Perth to London, (not sure which station). Does anyone have any advice on how to get the best fares on this?

Any particular reason for going via London? It's quicker and probably cheaper to go via Birmingham and at the right times involves only one change - at York. EDIT - sorry two changes - York and Oxford
An off peak (walk on) return is £138.50. That's to Kingham, from where there's a bus from the station yard to Chipping Norton - meets most trains until early evening.
Split ticketing might (and only might) get it cheaper but there's far too many combinations without you being more specific as to dates.0 -
Nice offer, more use to the people of Wigan or anybody in the NW who can get hold of the Wigan Evening Post.
But travel anywhere on the Northern Network for a tenner.
Just cut out the vouchers in the paper this week 21st - 25th
More info from the Northern website including other newspapers that are promoting this offer.Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0 -
Thanks for this. I have had a good search and the dates I am travelling are March 14th and back March 21st but I am very flexible. I thought going to London would be cheaper but for ease I think i am best to go to Birmingham and then Banbury as i can be collected at Banbury. Any other suggestions welcome.0

The flexible ticket to Banbury via Birmingham is £126.50
You can actually save a small amount on that, ironically via London:
0655 Perth to London £49 advance single
bus to Marylebone £2.20
1450 to Banbury £7.50 advance single
Or a bit later there's quite a few trains from Perth at the £49 fare, but the next train out of Marylebone with a cheap ticket is at 1933
Coming back the 0915 from Banbury has a £7.50 fare, then £2.20 bus and another £49 advance single.
A small saving for a total loss of flexibility
Or you can split at York on advance singles for just over £100, with fairly lengthy waits at York between trains to get the lowest fares0
