Ok... sorry totally overlooked 17yo. Multiply my earlier prices by 1.5.
27Oct
Dep Carlisle 19:49, arr Euston 23:38. Advance Singles = £42.00.
or for another 50p each...
Dep Carlisle 18:29, arr Euston 22:22. Advance Singles = £43.50.
31Oct
Dep Euston 19:25, arr Carlisle 22:51. Advance Singles = £84.00.
Total return for three adults = £126.00.
Is it possible to get a cheaper deal with better times if we split the journey anywhere? Otherwise I'm looking at
Dep Carlisle 13:49 arr Euston 17:12 = £84.00
Dep Euston 14:25 arr Carlisle 17:47 = £108.00
Total £192.00I have a cunning plan!

How about...
Dep Carlisle 11:51, arr Kings Cross 17:15. Advance Singles = £54.75. Via Leeds and takes over 5hrs. A through ticket, which is better than splitting.
Dep Kings Cross 09:30, arr Carlisle 14:39. Advance Singles = £92.10.Via Newcastle and over 5hrs. A through ticket, which is better than splitting.
Total = £146.85.
To get thes trains to show, use the website below and click on 'show slower routes'. The tick boxes 'Via Newcastle' and 'Via East Coast & other TOC connecting services'.
Better times? You decide.
To get these fares you must book via East Coast Trains website.0 -
Anything cheaper will be at some inconvenience... as you have found.

Moving my travel days to Tues 26/10 and Sat 30/10 saves me more
Dep Carlisle 13:49 arr Euston 17:12 = £60.00
Dep Euston 16:30 arr Carlisle 19:49 = £84.00
Total £144.00
Then if I get a disabled adult railcard for the Mrs and a 16-25 railcard for my daughter it comes down to £95.10 + £18 + £26 = £139.10 so another £4.90 saved plus a years worth of discounts for future use.
If I book through mytrainticket.co.uk then I can get cashback exceeding the booking fee.I have a cunning plan!

hi guys ...
I'm wanting to travel from aberystwyth to london euston, leaving on a friday and coming back on a tuesday (fairly easy going with dates as I just need this as a price guide for when we go down to london in december - 10th until the 14th, we sadly had to cancel our october trip) ...
now I don't mind splitting the journey, but I have no idea where to split, and at the moment we're looking at £120 return for the pair of us ... but was hoping to get the tickets for less than thisroughly how much longer do we need to wait for the cheapie tickets to come out? we keep checking, but as I've said, we're not sure where to split
I'd appreciated any help anyone can give us :j0 -

Dzug1 told you on 4 August when to start looking for cheap tickets for your December trip. See here.0 -
Probably done before but worth a bump, East Midland Trains offer £1 off their own Advance tickets via their website.0
