Are you putting 2 adults then adding 1 disabled railcard, then under that 2 adults? This is how we did it and it discounted both our tickets.
Edit looks like you are sorted now.I have a cunning plan!
Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
Ooops yes just found out how to use it:o
Is it worth booking now or if I wait a week or so will the fare rise. i.e. does it get more expensive the closer you are to the date you want to travel.
It's worth booking now as the fare you have found may sell out if you wait and be replaced by a more expensive one. It won't get any cheaper.0 -

:(Not True if a customer cancels their ticket the railway company will put that ticket back up for sale. heres an example of itsonyagiles wrote: »I'm looking for the cheapest way of getting from Edinburgh to Cambridge on Tuesday October 26th, one way. Two adults each with a Young Persons Railcard. I have looked on NXEC and found the cheapest seems to be at 5:50am for £40.50 but we don't want to travel this early. Any good split routes that would make it cheaper?

Yes, that's true, it can happen but it is *extremely* unlikely though.
Best book as soon as you can because rule of thumb after the cheap tickets have been released is: you wait, you pay more.
This covers 99% of scenarios - I wouldn't care to gamble that you will be in the 1% that gets a cheap ticket last minute.0 -

If If If.
By and large people don't cancel advance tickets because they don't get a refund if they do.
And if they do that ticket is going to sell within hours and the chance of you spotting it is next to nil.0 -

Not silly at all
You seem to have a total disregard of T&C generally and like to generalise fron individual isolated incidents.
E-bay doesn't allow the sale of train tickets. Yes people put them there and sometimes might succeed in selling them before e-bay pulls the ad. Which they will do if they notice or if someone draws it to their attention.0 -
