Try a Chiltern Railways Groupsave ticket from Birmingham Moor st to Banbury the off peak return for 3 of you is £46, but if you call 08456 005 165 (Groupsave booking Number) and inquiry I'm sure you can get it cheaper.Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0 -
Can anyone help me please find the cheapest tickets for a journey from Edinburgh to Manchester .We need to get to a funeral on the Wednesday of next week. It also means that we would have to travel the day before and come back on the Thursday.
ThanksThen God looked over all he had made, and said, "I can see idiots from my house".

Can be done for £36.50 return each using Advance Singles, but maybe not at the time of day you want to travel.
An Off Peak Return via Carlisle is £58 each.
Info from East Coast trains. Have a play with times.0 -

That's actually the standard fare (£15.20 each) with no groupsave reduction - not sure why it doesn't show up
Had you been able to book in advance it can be done with £5 a time advance singles0 -

IIRC its because Chiltern trains use's the 'East coast' style of online search engine which at present hasn't been loaded up that types of ticket/discount. That's why I gave the OP the phone number to inquire about prices for group travel.Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0 -
Can anyone find me the cheapest way to get to Glasgow from Birmingham New Street?
> 2 Passengers both with 16-25 Rail Cards.
Would be very thankful if you could find it cheap. Traveling anywhere from 2nd of August for one day to the 9th.
Example is - 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th etc.
Thanks in advance.

An off peak return is £67.20 each. Buy on the day. You can shave about £7 off this by travelling via Manchester, again on buy on the day off peak returns.
They may be advance singles that bring the price down, but I'm not going to searh every combination of dates for you - you can do that youself. A quick look on a couple of days suggested they would be more expensive but I didn't check very carefully or closely.0 -

Without putting any effort in, I was able to get the fare at £83.25 total. This is leaving Doncaster at 08:37 and leaving King's Cross at 20:30.
This is an advanced fare, which can't be bought on the day and must be pre-booked.
The next stage for you to do is to look at which station the train calls at after 9:30am, and see how much a ticket is from that station at that time, to take advantage of off-peak fares. You don't have to even get off the train. The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.
