I need to go from London to Preston on 19th March after 3pm, to return ont he Sunday at anytime. For 2 adults.

Can anyone help with cheap ticket options?

I have looked but can only find £140 altogether, and not much on the split ticket oprions.

Friday - 1846 from Euston - £17 single

Most trains back Sunday morning £28 - afternoon £35.10

Those are prices for one.

Or are you travelling the other way round - your post is ambiguous in that respect? If it is the only way I can see of bettering your price slightly is to leave Preston late evening

I need to travel by train from Preston - Banbury near Oxford on Friday 26th March and return on the sunday. Both journeys need to be after 3pm.
I can find a ticket for £58, does anyone know where I can get one cheaper of possible?

Have tried split ticketing using York but the direct route is coming up the cheapest done as singles @ £30 TOTAL

Can anyone find me anything cheaper please?

You might be able to get it down to £26.00, but that depends on there being some £6.50 Advance Singles available on the days you want to travel.

£30 is pretty good when you consider that the cheapest walk-up fare is £44.20 return for two people.

I've bought the family railcard so I really only need to know when the best deals will be out to buy the tickets.

There are 2 adults & 6 children 14-15yrs travelling on 18th June & returning on the 20th June, from Huddersfield to Walton on Thames. Can we go anytime with this railcard & also buy advance tickets with the card? (I've only just bought this so its not come in the post yet)

Would really appreciate any advice please.

Does anyone know where there may be some cheap inflights from Manchester to Heathrow as well?

This National Rail webpage will help you find out when cheap tickets become available.
Note that one F&F Railcard will only cover up to four children.
You can buy Advance Single tickets with a F&F Railcard.
There are some peak time restrictions with a F&F Railcard. See here for details.

As you know, you are a bit early for the cheapest tickets, but for a weekend in May (7th - 9th) £85 each way is possible. The theoretical minimum (with one F&F Railcard) is £72.30 each way.

All fares quoted are total for all eight of you.

Info from East Coast Trains. Buy tickets online from them to get these prices.

A second F&F Railcard will increase the saving.

Am trying to find some cheap tickets for Manchester Airport to Elstree and Borehamwood on Sunday 28th (this Sunday) March, arriving before 2pm, returning Monday 29th any time.
Can anyone help out? I need 2 adult tickets and don't have a rail card. Cheapest I can find is £138.20 via Virgin.

Hello need to go to darlington from Liverpool on the 7th or 8th of April

cheapest i found is 44.80 i was wandering if there any cheaper it has to be after 5pm

as i finish work then, am going to pick car up so only need one way

Isn't there a train strike planned for those days?

£44.80 seems to be the best price.
Splitting at York might be cheaper if the strike is called off. There are usually Advance Singles between York and Liverpool.
