ooh DD1's miscarried twin was MOST interesting.. it stopped growing at about 8 weeks and didn't come away and DD1's placenta kind of swallowed it.. so once that was delivered we all got to poke the dead twin.. totally cool! (yes I am REALLY this weird!)
DS2's twin was far less interesting and blobbed out at 8 weeks leaving a gallon of blood so DS2 couldn't be seen until almost 11 weeks.. but there he was! .. he then had 2 cardiac arrests at birth (1 as delivered one about an hour later) and has learning difficulties and an undersized pituitary gland, learning difficulties and growth hormone deficiency as a result!
I think retained placenta and PPH are about the only things I've not done... might go for those this timeLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

OH asked me earlier if I felt like I'd "missed out" on something - ie labour and all that comes with it. I honestly don't feel like I wish I'd done it.. I was fairly flippant about labour, kinda "cross that bridge when I come to it, baby's got to come out somehow - and in the meantime, think happy smiley thoughts"Don't have any desire to go through it next time neither
(not that I think you're "weird" for being a bit jealous at all, obviously!)

No, I got to 1cm before Katie was too stressed to carry on - I was given the choice to continue but I was risking a full blown emergency later on.Proud to be dealing with my debts

MDW i think its that silly thing in womans heads that makes them think that they have missed out, doesnt matter how your baby is born as long as your both healthy and happy and your a fab mummy

Charlie was a twin until 6-8 weeks also, we were told we had lost him so i moved house and decorated and then found out he was still hanging in there. he definatly has the energy for 2!
right i need to go to bed night ladies xxxWhat's for you won't go past you0 -
Caz - the chances of a next time are very slim as I have PCOS and endured 8 years of fertility treatment to have Katie (she's a natural conception after a failed IVF cycle), so I sometimes feel throughly let down by my body, took ages to conceive and then could give birth 'normally'. But if the opportunity came up I would definitely go for a VBAC.
It's probably part of the reason I've bf so long it's the only thing my body has done easily and won't let her move out of our room.Proud to be dealing with my debts
