Claire the fiestas are dirt cheap here you could pick up the same model for around £400! have you looked at gumtree? a few companies do a check over on second hand cars which may be worth while! stay away from rovers they are a car that will break a lot and cost a lot to fix! tell me what your after and ill have a look about :D iknow it wont be near you but should give you a rough idea on price so you dont pay over the odds!
Thanks Caz - maybe a trip to Scotland would be worthwhile then! My Dad pointed out that Rover as a company doesn't exist as such so parts are going to become more and more expensive. I loved my little S reg 206 I had before Charlie was born but we px'd it for our Avensis. Some of the ford interiors are so basic and cheap looking, you have to go right to the top models just to get electric windows. Not that I'm bothered about all gadgets etc but remote central locking etc would be nice.

I emailed her to say I wasn't happy, but I'm contemplating a paypal dispute... What do we think?

    Do it!

    morning all!

like the spanking new thread :D

elle- lovely new avvy- we have the same hat :D

keely- we're having the same problem with Kian. but seems he doesnt like his head in the water so he sits up now when we bath him and seems ok. am going to buy one of the bath seats as they seem to give them a little more freedom as well.

off to baby group in a bit. K needs to have his bottle and then clean nappy and we're on our way.

bumbo has 9 watchers and no bids :(

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I'm a bit narked... Bought Caitlyn a cosy toes off eBay for £8 + £5 postage... 3rd time I zipped it up the zip came off completely in my hand... Emailed the seller and she offered to send me another but I said I would prefer a refund (imagine if the zip had come off in Caitlyn's hand ) Well she's sent me a paypal payment for the £8 which means I've lost the postage and had a paypal charge for recieving money, it's cost me £5.46 for something I can't use! (That incidentally cost her £2.70 to post in a bin bag so she's fleeced me on postage anyway...)

I emailed her to say I wasn't happy, but I'm contemplating a paypal dispute... What do we think?
I bought a dress for Alice and paid £2.90 for postage only for it to turn up in a brown A4 envelope having cost about 76p to post. I messaged the person saying I was disappointed that the £2 not spent on postage hadn't run to anything better than an A4 envelope (especially since it had got ripped in the post). She then replied saying that it had been meant to be sent 1st class recorded but had been sent 2nd class standard by someone else by mistake (she listed postage as sellers standard rate) and that she would see if she could refund the difference. She didn't so I messaged her again and then put a PayPal dispute in saying that the dispute could be automatically closed if she refunded £2 which she did. She did put annoyed feedback but I just put a reply with the details. I also gave details in my feedback to her.

Boobie club today, yesterday we saw the same ladies at massage. One of the ladies who runs it is coming out on Friday to do a Health and Safety assessment on the house. And if I didn't misunderstand, the council will pay for someone to come and fit a fireguard and stairgates and whatever
else I need. The only thing is, I'm on quite a good salary and own (mortgage) my house. Does anyone know if this is true? I am on slightly more than the basic tax credits but don't qualify for housing benefit or income support or anything like that. I feel a bit cheeky accepting it really, though I would like the advice on what I need to make safe.

    xxx
I had someone from surestart round last week for the same... It's a scheme run by RoSPA but I had to have an NHS exemption to qualify... Maybe it's different for your area? Don't feel cheeky for it though, I have a couple of stairgates but I'd much rather an qualified fitter came and screwed some to the wall for me!

Morning, does anyone know why Elliot suddenly decided to hate baths? I don't know what to do to get him to like them again, I was going to start taking him swimming again but there's no chance with the way he screams and cries and clings to me like a baby monkey!!

It's not that he doesn't like being naked-he'll happily run around naked/in nappy....as soon as we walk into the bathroom he cries and clings....we've got him plenty of toys in there including a bubble machine! He used to love it, then one day he just cried and cried and cried. Ive tried sitting in the bath with him, that didn't work-he simply cocked his leg over bath and tried to get out by himself! Then we tried letting him stand up and have a little shower (which he used to find amusing as thr water trickled over him) but no that didn't work.

I've had to do a really quick wash and flannel down while my hubby tries his best to hold him down.

Please tell me it's just a phase that he'll get over soon?!

    Keely.

ps-I don't know if you want to add me on that list on first page. Sopmething like Keely-Stay at home mom to Elliot John William born 16/09/08.
I would hold off the baths for a little while so he can get over what's upset him... And where were you thinking of going swimming? I keep saying I should take Caitlyn, we could maybe go together?

That would be lovely thank you sweetie!

Would you be around on Sunday so I could pop over and collect it? We are super-busy for the next few weeks with birthdays of lovely March Peeps :D
