    Good morning all,

Sami - can I be on the list too pretty please? I'll be Squishy - mummy to Elena born October 2009. Thank you my dearie :D

Could someone tell my darling daughter that she really shouldn't be hungry during the night when she is getting 3 meals a day plus milk? :o She is determined to feed, so ends up bringing some of it back up. Oh well, I'm sure she'll get the hang of it :) She is currently waiting for breakfast: she fed not long ago before we got up, so I'm waiting a bit to give her porridge.

Out to the library this morning - it's story, songs and rhyme time at 10.30. We're walking in today as its nice and sunny, and will leave a bit early to go to the shop as I need an envelope for fairy posting. Then it's lunch with the mummy group tomorrow, so can post to newbie-maz then :)

And to whoever asked (sorry can't remember):o no the dummies are not the ebay expensive discontinued ones - we only got them a few months ago and Elena didn't like them :)

Hope everyone is fine this morning!

I thought nobody had talked while I'd been in bed as we were still on the same page.

ETA, nooo.... if we just quietly forget about the old one we keep our post counts!
You don't lose your post count if the thread is closed. (If you did I would have practically zero post count.)
I might be going to church on sunday, they have a school thanks giving service going on so thought it would be a good excuse to go.
That's a good way of not feeling conspicuous the first time too as there'll probably be lots of people there who don't normally go.

Yes - just tell Sami what you want to be listed as and she'll put you in.

I posted a bit less frequently of late because I felt I have been a bit of a moaner with the sleepless and work stress thing. Also I was a bit scaredy to read some of the chat about labour and poorly babies at the moment, knowing that's the kind of thing that makes me emotional at the moment. I just wanted to explain that in case anyone thought it was anything sinister or going off in a huff or something :rotfl:
I just figured you were busy with Bob and Shirley. And it's okay to talk about the difficult things - everyone has phases where everything seems to be going wrong and nobody minds if you talk about it because we care about you.

 After is not so bad but before? Although how do you manage the bottles while camping? When we went camping I still expressed for the 10pm bottle and it used to take ages sterilising everything on the trangia. (And OH managed to get a bottle in the flame without realising and melt it too.)

bob and shirl have been quite demanding! They are harder work than fergus!

    Are you the 29th? I'm the 23rd :)

Milton tabs to sterilise whilst camping worked out easier for us than boiling on the trangia :)

Morning, does anyone know why Elliot suddenly decided to hate baths? I don't know what to do to get him to like them again, I was going to start taking him swimming again but there's no chance with the way he screams and cries and clings to me like a baby monkey!!

It's not that he doesn't like being naked-he'll happily run around naked/in nappy....as soon as we walk into the bathroom he cries and clings....we've got him plenty of toys in there including a bubble machine! He used to love it, then one day he just cried and cried and cried. Ive tried sitting in the bath with him, that didn't work-he simply cocked his leg over bath and tried to get out by himself! Then we tried letting him stand up and have a little shower (which he used to find amusing as thr water trickled over him) but no that didn't work.

I've had to do a really quick wash and flannel down while my hubby tries his best to hold him down.

Please tell me it's just a phase that he'll get over soon?!

    Keely.

ps-I don't know if you want to add me on that list on first page. Sopmething like Keely-Stay at home mom to Elliot John William born 16/09/08.

I was right car was a dog! http://www.autoweb.co.uk/WSCarDetails.asp?cdID=8941262

Asked the dealer on the phone what damage it had - "only a few stratches on the side" Theres a blo0dy great big dent and rust patches, stratches all over. Loved the colour though...

Looked at another but is one of the models I was told to avoid, now seen some Rover 25's that I like the look of. But the :money:in me says not sure - insurance is extra £90 per year, road tax is £40 more but car has more goodies and interior looks nicer. Decisions decisions

    Love Rhys' new pictures Elle

I'm the 25th! All us lovely March people!

I was going to suggest cold water sterilising too, cos I is lazy.

Elle- gorgeous pics of Rhys. I love the hat.

SS- if you're around, I hope today's not too horrid. I'm leaving H all day Saturday for the first time and I'll probably cry.

Jobs for today- spring cleaning and cozy toes construction. I have elastic, Velcro and fleece, how hard can it be?!

I am. Although Alice thought it was my birthday on Monday because I'd only told her it was in March. The first conversation in the morning went like this:
A: It's toMarch. [she adds "to" onto time words quite often]
    Me: That's right, it's March.
A: It's your birthday because it's March - I need to give you a present.
Me: Thank you sweetie but it's not my birthday till the end of March.
A: Do you want Penguin for your birthday? I can wrap him up.
Me: That's very kind but no thank you. It's not my birthday yet anyway.
A: Do you want Winnie the Pooh for your birthday? I can wrap him up.
Me: That's very kind but no thank you. It's not my birthday yet.
A: Do you want a picture of Dolly for your birthday?
Me: [Realising it would be a very long conversation otherwise.] Yes please but you don't need to give it to me till the 29th which is a long time.
A: I will wrap it up for you.
