Really? I think it's got a years MOT on it anyway, but could I really offer that much less?

I'd probably start at 1200 and work up a bit. Have a final amount in mind and don't let him charm you.
I think Dealers allow themselves something like 50% markup with the hope of only knocking off 10% in haggling. You have all the power, you have cash, will take it off their hands quickly and there is a recession on so cars are not selling as well as they were, especially since people were doing the scrappage thing. Second hand cars can be a steal if you stick to your guns. He can only say 'no'. Be as demanding as you can, full tank, tax and MOT, mats, map, AA for a year, crook lock, I got it all when I bought mine, and about 15% off. Good luck.

And Good Luck to Sugar today too. Sure Molly will be just as happy as Kezia was and believe me, the worrying is far worse than the actual IYKWIM. (((HUGS)))

Boobie club today, yesterday we saw the same ladies at massage. One of the ladies who runs it is coming out on Friday to do a Health and Safety assessment on the house. And if I didn't misunderstand, the council will pay for someone to come and fit a fireguard and stairgates and whatever
else I need. The only thing is, I'm on quite a good salary and own (mortgage) my house. Does anyone know if this is true? I am on slightly more than the basic tax credits but don't qualify for housing benefit or income support or anything like that. I feel a bit cheeky accepting it really, though I would like the advice on what I need to make safe.

Morning, does anyone know why Elliot suddenly decided to hate baths? I don't know what to do to get him to like them again, I was going to start taking him swimming again but there's no chance with the way he screams and cries and clings to me like a baby monkey!!
We had a similar thing with Alice at a roughly similar age. I wrote a few things about it in this post:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=29971439&highlight=bath#post29971439

ETA: Alice's objection didn't seem to extend to swimming.

Claire the fiestas are dirt cheap here you could pick up the same model for around £400! have you looked at gumtree? a few companies do a check over on second hand cars which may be worth while! stay away from rovers they are a car that will break a lot and cost a lot to fix! tell me what your after and ill have a look about :D iknow it wont be near you but should give you a rough idea on price so you dont pay over the odds!

Have been up earlier today and managed to get kids to nursery and even done my good deed of the day :D heavily pregnant woman at nursery in agony so i gave her my reflexologists number and told her to get app asap and as its free its even better! she was over the moon and is going to phone straight away!

It's probably a very localised scheme. Our surestart used to do cheap safety equipment (like £1 for a stairgate) for anyone but they stopped just after Alice was born.

DKAM, I am eternally 21... Just ask Aimee ;)

It took me ages of thinking I should go before I actually went to church, everyone was so friendly and nice, and I really enjoyed the services... It's all so much different to church we had to go to as children, our church has loads of activities going on for the children and make everything so FUN!! Go along to the guest service and see what you think, it's always no obligation ;)

I'm a bit narked... Bought Caitlyn a cosy toes off eBay for £8 + £5 postage... 3rd time I zipped it up the zip came off completely in my hand... Emailed the seller and she offered to send me another but I said I would prefer a refund (imagine if the zip had come off in Caitlyn's hand ) Well she's sent me a paypal payment for the £8 which means I've lost the postage and had a paypal charge for recieving money, it's cost me £5.46 for something I can't use! (That incidentally cost her £2.70 to post in a bin bag so she's fleeced me on postage anyway...)

I emailed her to say I wasn't happy, but I'm contemplating a paypal dispute... What do we think?

Mel, very jealous that you have your pushchair already, I am so sick of the big gay pram now... I was never that struck on it, but the squeal is driving me round the bend now!!! (Incidentally, after what Tia said about her pram and the snow, I decided to keep the BGP in the shed for such weather emergencies in the future, it's about the only thing it's good for...)

Weezl, I think a week on Saturday is a good day for having babies...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

i have also been told about the safety checks my HV is arranging someone to come out and it is free no matter what income you are getting! i think they may have met their match with Charlie though :D

Krystal i would be annoyed too if it had broken already and then you are charged for the payment? i cant understand that as if she had just done a refund it would be her that paid the fees?? have you left feedback yet? i would also post on the ebay board and ask them for advice x
