Morning, does anyone know why Elliot suddenly decided to hate baths? I don't know what to do to get him to like them again, I was going to start taking him swimming again but there's no chance with the way he screams and cries and clings to me like a baby monkey!!

    Hi Keely :)
Can't help much on this one - we did have something which we briefly thought was similar where he suddenly wouldn't sit or lie down in the bath, but this turned out to be because he had acquired a new habit of scratching his coccyx/bottom with his fingernails, and without a padded nappy it was sore to sit on! We trimmed his nails better and guided his hands away for a bit and was then ok.

Is Elliot still banging his head? Elijah is and if anything it has got worse, I really find it more and more frustrating :( if you stop him from doing it he fights and fights and eventually just sobs inconsolably. if you let him do it, he smacks his head harder and harder nowadays, and on our stone tile floors, really hurts himself then sobs and comes for comfort, which we are torn about withholding since clearly encouraging this is bad :( Very troublesome!

Elijah is also getting really picky about food, after many months of being a great eater who will eat anything. I am beginning to feel we will need some deception strategies to get veg and even most fruit down him soon - all he really likes are breads, toasts, biscuits etc. Gah!

Just checking - it isn't girly or big and gay is it???

I see you lurking Bruno - was wondering how you are as you just did a fly by post yesterday.

Thanks Susan :) have been mostly keeping up with thread-skimming but been busy and keeping staggered sicknesses going round the family...
after last week, E and I seemed ok by Sunday though OH still felt grim, then Sunday evening E threw up again, then Monday he was very fragile and off his food and OH was very snotty and sore-throated, then Tuesday he seemed ok, OH was still bad and I started getting cold-y, Tuesday night he threw up again...
then today I am heavily on the Lemsip and regretting going to work... so general *boggle* all round, we are some sort of plague house.

Also I had totally forgotten cousin's wedding on Sat - your weddings talk the other day reminded me luckily - he had a bit of a wobble when I asked if toddlers were ok as there was no mention either way, said that he didn't think anyone else was bringing one, went off and discussed with wedding planner and took a week to come back with an "ok then"!
And I was a bit late coming to the wedding list, but there was nothing on it under £45/50 or so  right up to items in the many hundreds... don't know how well-off his bride's family are but I begin to wonder!

    Both girly and gay :p

lol, it's blue... My aunt bought it for her son so it's perfectly acceptable for Benjamin ;)

    Hello,

On way out so not got time to catch up properly.

Harley - my local council does baby proofing houses for free for everyone. It's a company called The Wise Group who come out and fit stair gates etc. It's not means tested, and they will also do it for grandparents houses etc too! I posted about it ages ago, but haven't contacted them yet.

Keely & Jillie - bathing problems - do your boys share a birthday? Spooky!

    Bye.

bob n shirl? what have I missed?
My fary parcel is still here ;) will be sent 2mo/friday so it arrives when you're in (hopefully!)
    ...
I'm a bit narked... Bought Caitlyn a cosy toes off eBay for £8 + £5 postage... 3rd time I zipped it up the zip came off completely in my hand... Emailed the seller and she offered to send me another but I said I would prefer a refund (imagine if the zip had come off in Caitlyn's hand ) Well she's sent me a paypal payment for the £8 which means I've lost the postage and had a paypal charge for recieving money, it's cost me £5.46 for something I can't use! (That incidentally cost her £2.70 to post in a bin bag so she's fleeced me on postage anyway...)

I emailed her to say I wasn't happy, but I'm contemplating a paypal dispute... What do we think?

Mel, very jealous that you have your pushchair already, I am so sick of the big gay pram now... I was never that struck on it, but the squeal is driving me round the bend now!!! (Incidentally, after what Tia said about her pram and the snow, I decided to keep the BGP in the shed for such weather emergencies in the future, it's about the only thing it's good for...)

Weezl, I think a week on Saturday is a good day for having babies...
I'd say you should demand a refund! if you sent it back for full refund you'd only be out £2ish for posting it in a bin bag :)
what is the squeal? can't WD40 fix it?

have you seen BB are going to test this http://www.beaba.com/flash/#/en_GB/newproducts/details/4-Bib%E2%80%99Expresso
can't help thinking its irresponsible to make/sell something that breaks so many of the 'rules' for making up formula! (from the not very detailed blurb)
