PP, how long can you manage without your money?

We're fortunate at the minute that DH is doing standby and overtime so still had enough to pay the mortgage without my wages. Am pleased really because it might not be such a hard blow if I don't go back to work. We're putting money away every week too to cover anything that may crop up when we're without my wages. When I finally get my money we're putting that aside too. Then hopefully my Avon will take off ok and I'll make a bit extra from that.

    afternoon all!!

    some interesting discussions this morning.

will just say... coming from a country where abortion is illegal, i'm pro-choice. the lady on this morning said, if she had been given more support and information she prob would have had at least 1 of the children and had them adopted. (my freind did this, and the baby would be 19 this year). and although the age she was when she had the 1st abortion was not mentioned, i presume that she was under 16 as otherwise it would have been said.

nms- gorgeous photo!! i want a nice one of me and K but am yet to have one taken where i like myself in it. maybe i should look at b&w ones as they always seem to be nicer.

I don't know what to do, forget it or get them and try to sell nearer the time if he's still funny over loud noise?

Josh went to a football match when he was 5. He was scared of the noise at first and wanted to go home, but I made him stay. By the end he was up on his seat yelling and singing with everyone else :D

James went to his first game at 4 and just got straight into the yelling and singing :rotfl:

Charlotte wants to go too now, but she's a bit young yet. She knows all the players and shouts at the tele when they are on.

There is one girl in L's class who never gets invited to anything. I feel so sorry for her, but she is one of those really irritating kids. :o

There was a boy like that in Josh's class. He had ADHD and he was a handful, so nobody ever invited him to a party. I just didn't have the heart to leave him out, so I invited him to ours in the community centre with traditional party games and dancing. I had so many stupid comments from other parents like "oooh you're brave inviting Kieron."

I spoke to his Mam beforehand so I understood how he would feel a bit better and his Grandad stayed on the day. He was good as gold and better behaved than some of the others! He managed to join in a few games and stayed for an hour, but then it got a bit too much for him so his Grandad said he would take him home. We hadn't eaten by then, so I took him round the table and we made up a plate of food for him to take home, and we gave him his party bag.

He talked about it for weeks as he was so chuffed to bits because he went to a party - bless him!

Abortions - I don't agree with it and couldn't go through with one. When they thought Charlotte might be disabled when I had problems, I was about 32 weeks and the consultant asked if we wanted to abort. I looked horrified and said no with tears in my eyes, and he held my hand and said he was sorry for asking and he hated doing it, but he had to ask that question as some people would have.

Playground politics - arrrgh I hate it! So many stupid games going on :(
Here I go again on my own....

I don't even bother. I only really speak to two of the mums of Joes close friends, both work so only see one occasionally at after school pickup and the other every morning. They are both really nice and I have their mobiles numbers, so text occasionally about things other than our own children. Everyone else seems to have their own little cliques. It may have bothered me if i was a SAHM, but as it is as soon as the bell goes and he's in his line, I dash off to work (via the shop or local butty shop for my breakfast :D). I CBA with any of the playground politics, or the mothers who have to have their kids at the front of the line, so they can speak to the teacher every day, as they think they are "in" with them. Rolls eyes again.
