OH got his hols changed to w/c 14th June and I've emailed my new boss to see if I can have that week too... just need to find somewhere now! Wondering if I should point out just how close the north of the Lake District is to Gretna ;) (I never even knew where Gretna was before now :o)

    ASAP
    Venue/s
Car/s - if wanting to hire
Invites if making own need to get them made up

    6weeks
Cake (if having fruit cake needs time to mature)
Flowers - book florist with rough numbers, can choose details closer to time
Rings (though some standard sizes are kept in stock I have skinny fingers, they put a rush on my order it took 3 weeks)
brides/bridesmaid dresses if getting from dress shop (mine was off the peg bhs and took 2days to be altered)
    send invites

    4-6 weeks
    honeymoon
    Food
    book hair app
    book make up

    2-4 weeks
Men/boys suits - if hiring (suit n shoes shirt n waistcoat cravat)
    Your shoes, hair piece/hat
    drinks if buying own alcohol
    book spray tan
    favours,table decs
    choose music
Photographs - make a list of any shots you want posed or otherwise (I found a list from googling, it was things like getting ready, empty venue, full venue, arriving, cutting cake, 1st dance)

I'm not sure what happens with giving notice/reading the banns for church weddings but giving notice has a very specific timeframe.

I just knew Gretna was on the boarder or something.
would you just elope and have random witnesses or would you want family there?

Oh I've meaning to say Krystal, ladybird and anyone else that does the neilson shopping scanning, I'm quitting it. I've just cashed in my points for Junior scrabble board game that is 2 for £15 in argos - that's all I could get with my crappy points. I don't think it's worth it :p

Tia / 3 - My mate is gonna do those dvds for ya :)

  • Morning all. Our turn for a ousy night - were up for a few hours for no apparent reason, other than she wouldn't go back to sleep. Its going to be another get-a-nap-in-if-I-can sort of day. I'm off to be told off by the dentit this morning - he wanted me to start flossing, but I only do it about once a week - it eats into valuable sleeping/leaving for work on time!

We got married at Gretna Green in the original old blacksmiths forge - very romantic

Only close family and friends were there, and everyone stayed all weekend and we had a great time. If you decide to do it and want some help, let me know.
Here I go again on my own....

any FB pros know if there's a way to set it so that 1 person (or 4 or 5) won't see your updates in their news feed, but if they go visit your profile they can still see stuff? I can limit it to 1 application if necessary...
