We're going there at the 2nd week of June we've booked through these people I feel like we're getting a luxury caravan for basic caravan prices.

Knife & Forks - Katie has them for every meal, but uses them in combination with fingers.

Kindof - you sound much happier.

Does this mean I might get to meet some of you? :D
Too many children, too little time!!!

  • kind of- my stitchs are hurting to. I sneezed earlier and I swear I felt something pop. But its not on the outside stitches its on the left just above the cut so possibly an internal one??? Hope I havent done something serious cause that would be typical of me! You know when you here a statistic saying 99% of people do something, I am the remaining 1%. lol

EA, before weaning, easier. And at that age they usaully still fit in carry cots (if you have one) so you can get out later at night while they sleep in the pram, plus you don't need a cot and highchair etc etc.

I suppose it depends how you wean, we did full BLW and found it no more difficult being away from home now than when he was EBF.

Thanks for that, I think thats part of my problem I seem to think I should be like superwoman and be able to do everything, when in fact I am still healing I had a pretty nasty tear and lost 800ml blood so am anemic as well and therefore very tired (I should really do a birth story)

I think I have decided to go with formula feeding and I have felt better today, I havent cried today (so far lol) so I think that was really playing on my mind,

The MW came to see me today and I said I was concerned about how much Elliot was eating cos in hosp he was having 60mls but the last feed he only took 30mls, and she suggested moving onto teat number 2's as she thinks the 1's might be making the milk come too slow and he is tiring himself out getting the milk out and falling asleep, does that seem possible, she did say they use 2's in the hosp so he is probably used to that.

If you guys make a bottle up say 4oz and baby only has 1oz what do you do with the other 3? do you just chuck it?

Also for those who boil kettle and fill bottles up then add formula as baby wants it how long do you keep those bottles with water in on the bench?

I'm still catching up on thread

glad you feel better for the decision. :)
i put the bottles in the fridge for up to 24hrs, but i usually have 3 in fridge and 3 waiting in the steriliser

    Winding.
    Tiny nap/resting eyes.

    Winding again.

What age did everyone start introducing a routine? I was thinking maybe about 1month old??

i found that Kian fell into his own routine after a while. and its amazng how not following the routine affects him. (ask the lady sat beside us on the flight back from dublin :o )

We started a bedtime routine at about 4 weeks old. Up until then he would stay downstairs with us 'till we went to bed. At about 4 weeks we started putting H upstairs in his moses basket after his 7pm feed. He still goes to bed at about 7 now.

We kind of fell into the naptime routine, but it's still quite fluid to be honest. Since about 10 weeks or so we've done nap about 11 then another at 1 then a short nap about 4.

Feeding is still on demand, so every 2-3 hours.

Yep, I sweated a lot! It's the excess fluid leaving your body after the pregnancy and it does stop after a few weeks. Ditto swollen ankles.

Yeah, I did the sweaty things for a few weeks, now I'm onto major hair loss

Ditto. My hair has never been so thin :(.

Tara- not actually in Exeter. I can't remember where it is, exactly! Friends have booked it and we are tagging along. I will find out more details and let you know.

Elle- I love that FB video of Rhys in a box. It is so precious and he looks so big!

Vaseline :D I wish I had known about that with DS1. I was sore for 2 weeks, but I think I had a urine infection too.
