Hey all,
Having a quiet evening so thought I'd eavesdrop on you guys lol.
Anya is having skin to skin daddy cuddles under a blanket while the footballs on so I am enjoying a cheeky easter egg and chilling. It feels pretty good.
I've noticed Anya will drink about 1oz then stop and poop then drink the remaining 1oz sometimes a tad over so I've been making 2oz bottles. So it takes about 20 minutes for her to "finish". They do some odd things these babys

Oh yes, holidays! Now I have £550 thomas cook vouchers and DH's holiday dates (2 weeks from 9th August), what should I go for??

I have a coffee a scone and some chocolate

At least you know not to waste a nappy changing her before a feed

personally I would think BEFORE weaning b/c then you know you don't have to faff with any food/equipment IYSWIM. Milk only seems far less complicated.

Like others have said, I've always made up an 1oz more than he would usually drink. Then when he starts draining a bottle move up another oz. We are on 7oz bottles and Jack tends to drain them but I know he wouldn't drink 8oz cos everytime I make an 8 he leaves 1oz.

Probably before! Bottles or boob are soooooooooooooooo much easier!

I remember posting on here really late one night when I was on the sofa with Jack and he had head on his hands and his elbows hooked down my bra :rotfl:

FR- Lily takes abot 30/40mins with her bottle feed.
Nappy change if she is really wet/pooped.
Drink 2/3ozs.
Winding.
Tiny nap/resting eyes.
Drink rest of bottle.
Winding again.
Finished

What age did everyone start introducing a routine? I was thinking maybe about 1month old??

We're going there at the 2nd week of June we've booked through these people I feel like we're getting a luxury caravan for basic caravan prices.

Knife & Forks - Katie has them for every meal, but uses them in combination with fingers.

EA, before weaning, easier. And at that age they usaully still fit in carry cots (if you have one) so you can get out later at night while they sleep in the pram, plus you don't need a cot and highchair etc etc.

We always just fell into a routine around 6-8weeks. Although, its apt to vary day to day. It's only recently that I can plan when she naps, feeds etc.

Argh I am in pain my stitches are hurting me, they kinda feel like they are being pulled OWW

Ohhh I think I will try the vari flow ones then, we had some size 2's in already which was good and he does seem to be drinking more, but will look into the vari flow ones now

Elliot is currently laying on OH on the sofa, he's just fed him a bottle, so hoping he will nod off soon, I am dying for bed myself lol

Oh another question, any news mums finding they sweat to death in bed? I wake up covered in sweat and I mean covered, I sound lovely dont I lol

EA, I'm only just introducing a bedtime routine now, have absolutely no routine in the day but it works for me! If you do start a routine at 1 month be prepared for it to change quite frequently in the next few months
