I suppose it depends how you wean, we did full BLW and found it no more difficult being away from home now than when he was EBF.

It's not the actual feeding that I found difficult, it was just that they were a bit older and expected to be in their cot asleep at 7pm :D When they were younger they didn't mind so much where they slept, or being moved about when sleeping.

Routine - the only thing I introduced when Katie came home was all feeds etc were done upstairs after 7pm.

Even now she knows 7pm is bed time (helped by the Bedtime Hour), tonight she was tired so as soon as the bedtime story was finished she asked to go to bed!

I was looking up Holidays earlier. Was looking at Sands resorts in Cornwall and Butlins.
Dont know when would be the best time to go though, i mean age wise for Lily??
Before or after i start weaning her?
We went on holiday at three months and nine months and went to stay with family at six months. The nine months one was harder both from a sleep point of view (because we couldn't tuck her in as strongly in the travel cot as at home and she started sitting up and then crying because she couldn't work out how to lie down) and from a mobility point of view (although she was fairly easy to contain because she cruised rather than crawled) but was easier from the point of view that she wasn't having so many naps or feeding as much so we had more flexibility in terms of going out and about. Can't comment on the weaning bit because we did BLW so it didn't matter where we were for that.

What age did everyone start introducing a routine? I was thinking maybe about 1month old??
    *whispers* ten days
Oh another question, any news mums finding they sweat to death in bed? I wake up covered in sweat and I mean covered, I sound lovely dont I lol
Yes! (And they don't tell you about it beforehand - it was in the newborn book which I didn't get for a few days anyway.) I was putting paper hankies in my bra to soak it up and changing them whenever I woke up because it was so bad.

Do I want to go to Ribby Hall again? We went 2 years ago and it was great. Has a new kids pool too. But, we have been there... and blackpool is expensive....

When she's asleep she keeps putting her hand down my top and stroking my boob... :rotfl:
:A Bless! When I had Alfie in the Joey today he was resting his hands on my boobs as he slept - very cute!

Haven't tried BF in the Joey yet but I will do soon! I am loving it though! It's just tricky getting Alfie in if he's a bit unsettled as when he cries he straightens his legs and I can't get him to bend his knees to get him far enough down in it!
    Hey all,
Having a quiet evening so thought I'd eavesdrop on you guys lol.
Anya is having skin to skin daddy cuddles under a blanket while the footballs on so I am enjoying a cheeky easter egg and chilling. It feels pretty good.
I've noticed Anya will drink about 1oz then stop and poop then drink the remaining 1oz sometimes a tad over so I've been making 2oz bottles. So it takes about 20 minutes for her to "finish". They do some odd things these babys

Glad you are having a nice evening! And lovely to see you over here now :)
Alfie often has one boob, falls asleep so I change him to wake him up, then as he starts the second boob he poos!

I started a bedtime routine about a week or so ago but the time changes slightly depending on when he his last feed of the afternoon was. But it's generally starting around 7pm, bath, boobs then bed! Quite simple really. I will introduce a story into that at some point but not sure when yet.
