my mum came over as i was booked in for induction. if i'd gone naturally would have been me and DH (the big useless lump) as it was, mum was fab and let me squeeze her hand to bits. it was such a awful/happy time for us that i was glad she was there. DH had said he didnt really want to be there when i had K, and i kinda made him for a few hours, Then his mum and dad came up. which i didnt mind. his mum came in to see me just as they were bout to bring me to theatre but i didnt want to see her i just wanted DH to say its going to be alright.

mum was amazing and i'm glad that she was there with me. she could have come to the theatre but i said not to.

i guess really i have a lot of things to work through at prob a lot was put to the backof my mind and only surfacing now. i think i need to chat properly to DH about all of this as it hopefully will help.

I'm just watching my totally legal download of OBEM, and I can't believe they're saying this 23 year old is a "young mum" as though she's some 14 year old!

Also, if someone had been sitting tunelessly singing three lines from a hymn over and over again while I was contracting I'd have strangled them with my umbilical cord.
