nicki is he your first? piloric stinosis is a problem in first babies esp boys and makes babies very sick and cannot hold food down? it is very easily sorted with an operation. If not then my nephew was on this milk but took a reaction to something in it(saff flower oil) the milk smells and baby might have problems taking it( sister was told to add crusha milk shake lol!)
hope things get better!
No, he's my third, and the other two were both fine. I'll go and google this now though to see if it sounds likely (and worry myself more no doubt)

Nicki, how often does he feed just now? For a start I would try to express when he feeds usually, till the milk stops flowing and a few mins after. I'd freeze it all and use it to top up after a breast feed when he starts breast feeding again. Are you going to have help the week you are doing this? It may be hard fitting in expressing and feeding at the same time (elle and tigs could best advise you on that).
Also, if you don't already own a double pump, get one. You can hire one or the one I used

Is great and I think, will work out cheaper than hiring one for a week. (you can sell it on ebay for almost what you bought it for).
Strongly recommend a double for keeping up a supply and saving time expressing.
I'm sure others will add.
ETA, breast massage is really important before you express like this too. It helps stop you getting blocked ducts and ups the milk production too.0 -

Evening all,
I had a lovely hour with the very lovely family Krystal this afternoonand I can confirm that she makes a cracking cuppa tea.
Benjamin resolutely refused to walk for Krystal and spent the first half hour being really coy and laying on the floor looking sleepy (the boy has had more sleep than a glass eye in the last 24 hours!!).
I had a cuddle with the beautiful Caitlyn and nearly threw her through the window when I picked her up she is so light compared to my lump!!
Aimee fastened a monkey tail to herself and then to Benjamin and was generally quite excited to have visitors!
Hope everyone else is well. xxx
Edit - Go Dylan!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Yep all the time!
Nicki, I think Tia's advice is sound. Do you have an electric pump?
Anyone want to give me their opinion of sling colours? I'm torn between emerald, damson and midnight from here:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
...
if we're going to talk about slings, I want to know if there's a specific 'type' I should look for when thinking about summer. I know my fleece-lined one will be absolutely roasting come June!
as Fritha says though, it's tricky to get on without lots of layers, I'm not sure I'll manage it!
I got my calin bleu on ebay, just a natural 'raw colour and dyed it Dylon intense violet - it's gorgeousfeelinggood wrote: »Whoever it was who let me try the Joey in Warrington, I'll be forever in your debt! I really should go along to a sling meet...

Nicki - I'm just catching up so sorry if it's been said but I think a good place to start looking for info is kellymom website x good luck with whatever happens x0
