STOPTOBER CHALLANGE ... here we go !!0 -
I do relate to it in a way, although i never felt like i was contributing much cos when i was part time i was earning too little to pay tax anyway! lol. I was on about £3.60 an hour. Used to annoy me that the 22 year old's who lived at home got paid more than me though! Tho that was more before preg cos i moved into private rented at 16 to get away from my moron mother!
My biggest motive was not ending up like her, she'll never work again and she's only 40-odd, she's a proper waster. I don't want the kids thinking its a way of life like she sees it. And also people were always surprised to learn that i was in a stable job, cos they assume being single i'd not bother. Although, i am that stereotype now! Just temp though.0 -
right i think ive put my foot in my mouth effort in the last couple of days i think i should go to bed and start my day by thinking what i say before i say it night x
Still searching .....:)

Urrrgh. So tired today. Evil munchkin.
On cars: I am very jealous of all you car-buying types  I bought a Daewoo (surprisingly nice, honest) new 10 years ago, but it is definitely getting close to its last legs now.
I get a car allowance from work (just as a perk, not because I need to drive for work) but I drive so little that it's really not worth giving up the cash to have a company car. I ought to buy something fairly new and more child-friendly and spacious and safe, but I am still hoping forlornly to save up a mortgage deposit at some point... (though I should probably be trying harder at this).
So I feel like I shouldn't buy something when it'll set a mortgage back another year or something and I do still have a car that is technically working! Bah!0 -

Hello,
Thought I would graduate to the parent thread as my baby is a week old today! Sophie was born on the 13th April via c-section, we only got out of hospital on Sunday as I wasn't very well after she was born.

Hi Jolene
Welcome! Feeling a bit recovered now? Is everything ok with Sophie? Is she your first? How's sleeping/nappies/OH/feeding?
