Som, always, I think we should run with the idea. Are there days of the week that are better for others? I think I might only be able to make it when DH has off (and can drive us) as public transport is a bit complex (doable, just a bit faffy). If we're talking soonish, I can do next Friday (April 30) or generally after that Wednesdays work for us.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

If you earn below the reduction threshold you get the maximum. If you earn above it then they reduce your award by 39% of what you earn over the threshold. The second adult element of WTC is for if there are two adults in the household. I think it was all explained in the original application pack I got and then I've just looked up the figures each year on the HMRC website. Your award notice should tell you which elemnts they are using for the calculation.Krystaltips wrote: »Sorry Susan, this might aswell be in arabic for all I understand it!! Oh, funny - I bought a saloon-model Lanos (V reg) new, in 1999
Been driving it 10 years and really it's been a great car, but it's a bit worn down now and I could use a bit more space.
Hmmm - maybe mine was a W reg? I don't think it was a V (my first car was a V reg but the old-old-old kind
). I dunno, 'twas a VERY long time ago.redmel1621 wrote: »Hoping the work/wages/money convo will end soon:( Which is why I didn't post again last night!
K has got his 5th tooth and number 6 is about ready to burst through anyday now
You surprise me Mel, you and hubby have both been in education bettering yourselves recently and you seem to do alright - there is no way we could afford 4 kids with associated games consoles, bigger car, double buggy etc etc that goes with them. I can't even afford your new fridge freezer ATM. You should be proud.
Yay for teeth!!Thanks, but it seems with the new more eco friendly cars we can get quite a good deal anyway, and it nice not having to think about the upkeep! :A I would like to in the future though.
It is a pain having to pay for services, new tyres etc especially when Honda charged me £8 for putting screen wash in the car at the last service  theiving b00gers!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

I suppose it doesn't have to be too complicated, it might mean I have to stop going to the toddler group on a Tuesday morning... I don't really want to as it's at the church I go to on a Sunday and half of the women there are friends from church who I see regularly and our older children are at school together etc... But his brothers GF has just had a baby and she used to go to the toddler group with their son before he started school so they're expecting her to start going again... Don't think she knows who I am, but she'll figure it out eventually... And I don't want him knowing what's going on in our lives... Or rearing his ugly fat head again... Although I don't know how likely that is... He hasn't been arsed about her for the last 6 years... :undecidedOh dear Krystal.... Hope its not too complicated x
That makes sense, thanks Susan... I suppose I could have read the notice better, but I'm one of these who naively thinks they must have it right and just goes along with what they pay me...If you earn below the reduction threshold you get the maximum. If half the women there know the 'relationship' between you then she's going to find out anyway isn't she? Whether you give up your toddler group or not? Plus as you say if he hasn't been bothered for the last 6 yrs would he be bothered now? Might be better to see now rather than a few years down the line, presumably there are other places (surestart/playgyms/ultimately school) you are likely to bump into her/be thrown together.
