Brilliant news Bruno
And yes the second time round is a lot crampier than the first, and also, I felt the ligaments stretching when the baby had a growth spurt which was very worrying and uncomfortable... But again normal...
And Elijah is an absolute darlingIt's amazing when they start learning and I love the cute toddler 'phase'!!!
(I also believe brainy kids sleep less... Did you know my non-sleeping 6yo has been given a score of 'gifted and talented' with her literacy work at school?)

Congratulations Bruno and Mrs Bruno!!
Do you think you're at the tail end of night wakings with E?
Also, I am charmed by your tales of his adorable activities. Molly took my hand in bed last night and put her head on it so I couldn't leave her alone, but I am excited for her to get to the mobile talking stages.
I've just had a reply from a friend of mine who works with the organiser of the conference I'm supposed to go to on Tuesday. He has no idea what's happening because he's currently stuck in Italy, the conference organiser is in Moscow and half the speakers are travelling from the USA. The chances of getting to Copenhagen seem a bit limited, although if they reschedule it should work out fairly well for me because I've been invited to give a talk at a different department while there and while I can't reschedule my flights this time, rebooking them could easily incorporate an extra day.
Susan I normally give gifts too, often a night in in a box sort of deal - takeaway voucher, DVD or two, chocolates, popcorn, wine/special non-alcoholic stuff, a blanket to snuggle under and so on. I was horrified to receive an invitation recently saying, No boxed gifts, please, I always thought the correct way of saying, please give us money, was just to not have a list and hope the unimaginative people found it easier. We had a small list too - about 1/3 of the guests gave us something from the list, 1/3 gave us cash and 1/3 had travelled so far we asked them not to bring us gifts at all.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Congrats Bruno thats great news!!!!
we are not too bad here at the moment grumpy baby and the most awful nappies you can imagine!!! The drip and anti-sickness tablets really worked on Charlie and perked him up very quickly! i was so glad as he went downhill so fast, his eyes glazed over and he was unresponsive, of course the hospital didnt realise this to be a problem until it had went too far???What's for you won't go past you0 -
Hi all - I won't be around much for the next few days - the socket for my laptop broke on Thursday so I have to use the desktop which is upstairs, and C does NOT like having to sit on my knee, and gets bored very quickly.
((hugs)) to the poorly babies and I'm so pleased Charlie is on the mend cazSealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -
But whenever he passes a lady or child (not a man) walking, he stops and gives them a huge grin, bends down and touches his nice red shoes that he likes, and declares "SHOOS" to them and watches for a reaction
they are usually charmed ;p
stroppy.
He obviously realises men don't appreciate good shoes.
How cute!
On a final note, as you are my internet friends and unreal, it is ok to say that we are at the BFP stage. Only 4-5 weeks in so no real news beyond that. OH is a bit anxious as she is much crampier this time than last, she sees the doctor on Tuesday just in case.
:T:j Brilliant news.
From my memory, everything is crampier 2nd and 3rd time round.
Morning to everyone else.
Krystal I think your friend was taking the P! If we go out, my little sister is the usual babysitter, but we're always in for midnight, unless its a rare, prearranged late night, when she'll stay over.
V seems better today. First morning of the week without a korma style nappy. And she's just had cereal and toast.
L wasn't sick again (from either end) after last nights episode - and she's just had some cereal. She still feels 'bleeegh', apparently.:beer:0 -
Glad to hear things are on the up at your end 3!
On the whole friend situation... I feel she took the p, I didn't mind babysitting and ordinarily, would have told her not to worry about the money but we're super skint this month... But then I never expected her to be any later than midnight, and I certainly would never stay out that late if the person babysitting for me had a baby and needed to walk home, She's the one with the son with special needs and when they got back she made a big thing about being good to get out and away from the stress, I don't know if that was her feeling guilty? But at the end of the day, it's done now, and there's nothing I can change... The problem I have now is the grief I'm going to get off himself about the whole situation... He's already a cynical and miserable sod when it comes to helping other people out and this is going to get dragged back up countless times and if (when) she asks me for another favour it will get thrown in my face too... I don't need the stress of it all...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

OMG! I know 9am is meant to be an ok time for doing DIY in your house but it's a weekend and they might aswell have been sawing my headboard in half.
I was rudely awoken after falling back to sleep after Amber's early start, and shouted a great big FO through the walls and its stopped now. TOO LATE NOW MORONS the kids & me are all awake thanks to them :mad:
I know it was 9am, but cmon, what if i'd been working all week??? I haven't, but suuuuuuuuurely that's not the point. I wouldn't even comment if it had been a weekday cos then i'd have already been up for school!! Why can't i live next door to people who aren't gonna be on benefits their whole lives. They're up til 1-2am and start all this malarkey at 8-9am.
Whew, rant over. I'm grumpy today now:(:(

:T Bruno & Mrs B! :T Wishing you the best for the future and that all goes smoothly. We also have 'impatient at baby' moments here too, but I in all honesty can't complain because I'm just as guilty as DH (though luckily at different times, so there's always 1 calm one to take over). I do try and be patient but sometimes it just wears out. I love being a mom, but that particular characteristic needs much improvement
.
BTW, Weezl is fine and posting, she's just keep very very busy with her pet project on other parts of MSE. I fear she's put too much burden on herself and that's prolly why she never makes it over here to talk.
Bad night here, won't go on about it. I am just so incredibly weary because DH was away all last weekend, so I've been all-baby-all-the-time for two weeks straight now and it's definitely taking his toll. I don't know how you single moms do it...you have my undying admiration. Can't wait until he's off tomorrow, thank God.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
