Now Can I have an almighty RANT !!!

Bloody FlyBe have cancelled all flights tomorrow even if the airspace is open again for precautionary reasons ... thats fine, I would rather be safe ... however .... my work have told me that I have to go on my course and that I will need to get a ferry and train instead .. the only ferry that still has spaces is Larne to Stranrar and thats 2 hours then the train connection goes from Stranrar to Edinburgh, then to Glasgow then to Leeds which will take approx 9 hours with connections !!! I would only arrive in Leeds train station at 5am on Monday morning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I would deem that a bit unreasonable and have said that I am not for doing it and have been told that it is reasonable to expect me to alter my travel plans to fit in with business needs.
So now I have had to keep my hotel booking and hope that I get over (otherwise I have to pay the £76 cancellation fee) and try to get a last minute flight either tomorrow or Monday morning to either Manchester or Liverpool and get the train over from there !!

I am in a seriously bad mood !!!

Seems like a lot of the sickies are recovering, albeit, slowly!

Sami...not sure what to say about oh's cousins...we aren't sure who we are inviting to the two LO's naming ceremony which should be in September!

Beautiful weather here today, makes me feel brighter but thinking about the back garden, which has a weeks worth of dog poo and desperately needs mowing, means I haven't ventured out yet!

I know pink !! I have found an overnight ferry to Liverpool which still has a few spaces left on it, but it is an 8 hour ferry ride then and hour wait for the train then 2 hours train to Leeds !! I think I may be a bit tired when I get there !!

No everyone else going lives in England so they were all getting trains or driving, its just me coming from over the sea !!

Mel hope you all feel better soon! It's miserable when you have them all ill, constant cleaning up of bodily fluids, bleurgh!

Becles enjoy your weekend, even if you are revising (I actually enjoyed revising if I had peace and quiet, coffee, chocolate and carrot sticks )

Quiet congratulations Mr&Mrs Bruno (and E), the extra crampyness is normal with second/third etc babies, and the pregnancy will be nothing like the first one. Hope it all goes well for you all.

mm, that is outrageous . I can't see how they can expext you to travel for that long and then be fresh to study :mad:
