    Thanks everyone :)

I couldn't really hear the girl on the phone so didn't understand much of what she was saying.

She said something about going to get my P60 from my local tax office? I dont even know where that would be.
Might have to ask the Jobcentre where it is. Unless its in the job centre.

Som, i tried winding her. She didn't burp much last night so i thought it would be. But she finds being winded relaxing and when i was winding her she promptly fell asleep on my shoulder.
She is asleep now but usually has her bottle about now. I dont want to wake her though lol

Becles Well done you clever superlady! :D

Elle Hope today goes nice and fast. Good luck.

:(For all the Mummys with broken sleep. No advice apart from it does get better.

I'm not going to Manchester today. :( It's very, very rare that J gets me all all to himself, so we're going to enjoy a sister/baby free day. :)

    Morning everyone,

My perfect baby has now joined the Wide Awake Club during the night. Was up 4 times last night. Don’t think it’s hunger, and popping her dummy in seemed to settle her as she closed her eyes straight away, but an hour later was awake again and all excitable. Not crying, just babbling away. Ended up taking her into the spare room again. Probably not a habit I should get into but thought it was better than OH being kept awake if I left her to babble through the monitor!

EA – It does sound like it could be wind with Lily – Holly had and still does have difficulty in passing wind, so even though she always burped fine after a feed, it’s the other end that was the problem. It not as bad now, but sometimes she still screams in her sleep and it’s occasionally followed by a trump, so I know it’s sore for her to pass wind. When colic was suggested at first, I thought it can’t be, because she does burp, but turns out it was the passing of wind, not the bringing it up. Might not be the case for Lily, but just in case you hadn’t considered it.

KOAG – If you are going to try different milks or colic remedies on Elliot, you need to give them time to see if they work. Changing to Aptimil for 1 day, won’t get rid of the problem straight away. You would need to do it for at least a week to see if it has any effect. Colic remedies are hit and miss, so what’s good for one baby is different to what’s good for another. If you buy one, make sure you give it time to see if it helps, and if not, try another. Baby massage should help his digestive system too.

If you want to start a routine, do what fits in with your life as everyone is different. Up until the past week, Holly has always slept through the night, but at the start that involved bringing her to bed when we were going and she just dosed in the living room on and off until then. I personally preferred to allow her to stay up later with us and sleep through until 8am – that’s better than putting her to bed earlier with night time wakenings for me. I think that at such a young age, a routine should be more of a pattern/sequence of events, than setting strict feeding times though – but that’s just my opinion.

    Morning everyone.

Lily keeps crying and i dont know why :(
She's quiet at the moment laying on my chest, but she'll start again soon and im rubbish at calming her
She usually isn't awake until 9:30am and she woke at 8am, so i think she might be tired but not wanting to sleep as everytime she quiets down and relaxs, she then crys and her body goes rigid.

Kindof, with routines. We want to start introducing a better one soon, she's 4 weeks today. At the moment she has her 6/6:30pm feed, sleeps for a bit, at 10pm i change her, put her in the grobag and get in bed to feed her. Then a cuddle then in the crib.
She then wakes at 2am (ish) and then 6am(ish) and then usually wakes up at 9:20/30am and has a nap at 10/10:30am for 2 hours :)

Once im brave enough to put her in my room on her own, she'll go to bed after her 6pm feed.

I dont understand TC's. When i called them they want our exact incomes for 08/09. I dont know them! I worked part time for half of it, the full time for the rest. And neither me or OH have a P60.
Also why are they using our 08/09 incomes for our entitlement, we are poor now in 2010! OH is now only working part time and im on ML.

    Anyway, guess what! :D
Me and OH might be ttc again this October. We ideally want the baby to be born July 2011 so my college exams are finished and i can go on and enjoy the last month of pregnancy :)

This works with Elliot, we put him over our shoulders (like you are winding her) and take a walk around the house gently patting his back and going ssssshhhhh lol he usually calms down after 5 mins (sometimes sooner) and then I sit on sofa him still on shoulder and gently move him to the chest (he is asleep at this point) then after about 20 mins or when my arm gets tired I put him in the moses basket

Thats a good routine Lily has :) we deffo need to cement one.

YAY for TTC again, we totally arent lol

Tac Credits are confusing arent they lol, I am confused about the whole disregard the first £100 of SMP?

I am taking 39 weeks mat leave, 26 weeks of it is full pay, 13 is just the SMP from the government, so do I disregard £100 for 39 weeks or just 13?

I dont think it makes a difference cos I think we will always fall into the £20 a week category (I think the wages for that is between £25,000 - £60,000) we get about £35,000 combined, so even if I disregard £3900, then that still makes our wages £31,000ish

Am I right in thinking that?

Thank you CSH that one looks really nice

Ive just got my March payslip in the post, so what figure do I quote to TC? (and do I quote it minus the £100 disregard thing) I need to make sure OH brings home his March payslip as well dont I?

What happens when I get a payrise? I usually get one in July and OH gets one in April and November I think, so do I ring them every time?

Well actually I need to get my !!!! in gear and claim child benefit first lol (I lost my Halifaxx bank card and thats the account we want it paid into then we can "forget" about it and we are needing to use that to cover the loss of pay when I am just on SMP) so I need to go to Halifax tell them Ive lost my card and that Ive moved lol

Thanks Som, I will google it :)

    Well done to Becles.

I have been wondering where Beenie is too - she hasn't been on I don't think.

Csh - Is Kieren rolling/shuffling around now?

Manchester crowd - enjoy your meet today. Hope you don't get too rowdy in the food court. And hope Katie enjoys The Gruffalo MDW. It's become my favourite bedtime story (even if Holly doesn't have a clue what I am saying!!)

Right ok thanks for that, so you do you think I should buy a tub of it then (cos it would cost a fortune for ready made cartons for a week lol)

Yeah I think I am like you, I would rather he slept the night so taking him to bed when we go and letting him sleep in sitting room with us might be the way for us to go

Although OH is back at work next week which will make more of a routine happen, OH Likes to go to bed at 9 when he is at work, he gets up at half 7 (lazy isnt he lol) so elliot will have to go to bed in our room at 9 then, there isnt a hope in hell that he will sleep till OH gets up for work though lol

This is the projector we have. It's really good but we have never used the mobile part as she was in her moses basket for so long, so a cheaper projector without mobile would have done the job. But if someone else is paying...!!!

As it was explained to me..........

You take a total of 39 £100's off your earnings. If you're mat leave overlaps an April you'll need to work out how many weeks of it are in 09/10 and how many weeks will be in 10/11.

My mat leave started January 2009 and ended October/November 2009.

In April'09 I gave them my figure for 08/09, my P60 figure, less £1000 which was my first 10 weeks mat pay, January to April.

This year i'll give them my figure for 09/10, which will be my P60 figure, less £2900 which is for the last 29 weeks mat pay, April to November.

    See, clear as mud! :rotfl:
