Afternoon all... I got a lie in until 8am, but only because we were up most of the night. Lots of hard work done at the allotment this morning, and now we are running riot at the in laws. She won't eat anything except for chocolate or whatever daddy is eating today. Which would be fine except he is only eating crisps. Better than nothing I sppose!

Som- That was always my problem, I have a cast iron stomach and *touch wood* never suffer with heartburn/ indigestion etc so made it tricky to work out what was causing it. I figured it must be onion in the end, but we literally have onion in every meal, so I just tried to make sure it was well cooked and stuck with my lengthy winding routine!

I'm sure it was all a ploy to make sure I held her upright instead of laying her down! She even had to sit up in her buggy from about 9 weeks old- literally would not lie flat, she would be craning her head up to see what was going on. Nosy like mummy :D

I think its important to remember in newborns that their insides are still very immature, so even if something you eat affects them now... In a week or so they are better developed to be dealing with things so it might not have the same effect again...

Sometimes squash/cordial can have a windy effect too... Caz you had an improvement with Erin when you cut it out didn't you?
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

I'm not Caz, but I'll agree that squah can have an effect: it's the one thing that I haven't been able to have while bf. Elena used to be a little sick after each feed, and it wasn't until I smelt her breath once and it smelt just like orange squash that I realised what must have caused it! I was drinking it really diluted too... cut it out, and didn't have any further problems :)

    *pops head in*

Sorry lovelies I seriously can't keep up at the moment! Just poking my head in quickly whilst OH is feeding the greedy monster.

Belated Happy Easter - hope everyone had a lovely one and stuffed themselves full of choc :D I didn't get any eggs :( But OH did bring me a creme egg from the shop this morning so I won't moan too much!

Som - I was told onion doesn't help wind, I've been trying to avoid. Also, someone suggested to me today (she's a HV with 4 kids, so I trust her advice :)) to try boiling about 1oz of water and soaking some fennel seeds in it, then giving to baby. Supposed to help :) Glad to have read about the squash on here though, will try and cut it out of my diet and see if that helps at all.

EA lovely pic of Lily, such a cutie :) Sounds like you got a right old haul for Lily for easter!

MM I bet your kids will love that you've scrapbooked everything for them when they grow up (prob not during the teenage years but once they're grown ups!), it'll be fab to look back on.

:j for a well behaved sleeping Finn!

Boo to stupid OH Kindof :( Hope he's been apologetic today to make up for it. Elliot is a star only waking twice overnight, he should try a night in our house!!!

Thanks for everyones advice re: feeding the other day - carrying on with expressing solely for him at the moment, ordered an electric pump and a load of storage bottles :D

Ok baby calling can't read any further back, promise I will soon. Baby news here - weighed today at 9lb 7, so he's gone up 1lb 4 since last Tuesday!! Can't believe how much he's grown - HV was shocked by how tall he is too, over 60cm, taller than the average 6 week old apparently!! He's learnt to pull the dummy out of his mouth to replace it with his thumb now, so not sure how I'm gonna knock that on the head :o Will post a pic of him soon, feel like I've not had a second to myself since he arrived but visitors should quieten down this week so will get chance to come on and keep up hopefully :D xx
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j
