It's an easy tea for us tonight, I've not got anything out to defrost either. So we're on spaghetti and green pesto followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding and custard.

Think for us its gonna be veg soup to start, then pigeon breast (from market yesterday) + pots + veg, then choc fudge cake. hope OH is hungry!!

just read that back and realised how that sounds - it's normally more like chicken chargrills & curly fries, honestly!

Hello everyone - it has been highly productive Chez SS. We now only have one room that is unlivable; the kitchen is now the proud owner of a worktop and some shelves (the worktop was already there but covered in the crap that is now on the new shelves). Maintenance has been done on both washer and dryer, my work trip to Copenhagen is booked and so is the hotel, the computer room is organised and just needs vacuuming and OH and I are cream crackered :rotfl: Dinner will be salad and a sandwich , and after dinner OH will get on with opening his big mountain of post and I am going to vacuum and find something else to do in between entertaining Molly and putting her down to sleep.

    Phew!

Has everyone else had a good day? I can't help with windy babies, Molly never seems bothered by anything I've eaten, although she has jars of food with lamb in and they provoke hideous clouds of green gas and nappies that make me literally gag.

Caz, what about egg salad, pasta salad, sliced veg/meat/cheese and homemade rolls and have them make up their own combinations?

We went to Toys R Us earlier to spend C's xmas voucher. We got her this and this. The bag is so lovely, it's got pretend lipstick and money and sings a song when you open the bag! The piano is great too, just the right height for her to press the keys.

It's Katie's favourites plus lots of fluids at the moment.

But it looks like she is on the road to recovery as the cupboard raiding has started.

I'm so happy as I didn't want to miss Wednesday.

  • hiya all - my tired babba is watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and really enjoying it! He is laughing in the right places and dancing along to the songs :A

Today he has been blowing kisses to anybody who comes near - talk about cute!!! Although he wants everybody to kiss his hand now so the chance of getting any proper kisses anytime soon may be slim.

We went out for a lovely lunch and then popped in to see MIL who has been away for 2 1/2 weeks. Lovely to see her and she brought me back some fantastic spices from India :)

Change bottle and bed for the babba - might be back later, I have a ton of ironing to do and would like an early night if poss.

Hope everyone else is well. Good to see that Katie is a little brighter xx

Thanks for all the ideas :D will have enough ideas so that its something different everyday we go out! OH said i will need another element for the cooker as the way im going its going to burn out again lol!!!
so far we have biscuits dough chilling, cupcakes, HM pizza slices, crispy cakes. i will have a go at the rest for thursdays day out lol!
Roast turkey and pot bake and veg for tea is also cooking!

Ill give the soups a go and try the parsnip, im boring and tend to make the same soups or make them up to use the veg lying around lol!
The only other thing i can think of maz is that she is overstimulated and then finds it hard to sleep. maybe have a calm half hour cuddled up etc before you try to get to sleep? maybe she is just a nosey baby that doesnt like to sleep! i have had one of those and now she will get up and come downstairs to make sure we arent doing anything or eating anything without her :D
