Unfortunately I miscarried a few weeks ago. I think the initial shock has gone, but it is still hard to go from that massive high, to the depths of despair!
Back to the ttc list for me, and hope it doesn't take long!
Congrats to all the new additions to the list and also to all the new arrivals!!!

assuming no complications and mother and babe are doing well, how long do you stay in hospital after giving birth to your first child ? does this get less then with subsequent children?
I had my daughter at 6:32am and left the hospital at 8:00pm that night. Would have left at 5:00pm but the doctor was running late0 -
Phatmouse wrote:Can anyone help with my bra dilemma.
I am a DD, do you think I should get DD, E or F nursing bras, I have heard that they get much bigger when your milk comes in.
I plan on breastfeeding so will they go down to a DD after a couple of weeks or stay big for the whole time.
Thanks
I'd recommend getting measured for your nursing bra as an ill fitting bra can cause blocked milk ducts.
I got measured early into my pregnancy as my boobs were the first thing to grow!, then got measured again after a few months once my bump started to grow and then got measured for my nursing bra 4 days after giving birth. I started off at a 36C before getting pregnant, growing to a 36F a few weeks into the pregnancy, then a 38E and now a 36F. At 4 days after giving birth they were engorged and quite big and it wasn't very comfy sleeping with the nursing bra on. Now at 23 days since giving birth they are a bit more comfortable, health visitor said they will soon become softer and feel more deflated. Think i'll get measured again at christmas time - hopefully then i can get some 'nicer' underwear as i'll have been wearing 'comfy' maternity/nursing bras for the last 12 months by then!!
If you wanted to buy a nursing bra before your baby arrives they normally do it after 36 weeks or once the head has started to engage and your bump has dropped0 -

I just did a test today and it was positive. I'm 38 and it's my first.
We've been trying for a while. He's gone out with his mates tonight as it was prearranged that his friend was coming to stay. We've decided not to tell any of our friends until around about Christmas when I'll be close to twelve weeks.I've got a doctors appointment for Thursday, feel like a complete novice, it's all a bit overwhelming, feel very unprepared as somehow I just didn't think it would happen. I know it's very early days yet, but I wanted to tell someone, so you lot are it! OMG it's Friday night and I'm not drinking.:rotfl:“We all pay for life with death, so everything in between should be free.”0 -
