crazy on the day - my GF woke up with pains around 5:00am we were told to have 2 paracetemol & a warm bath but after the paracetemol things got more painful so we headded to the hospital which is for the best because on the way her waters broke in my car & we were only in the hospital for 8 mins before the baby was delivered at 7:15!

A bit of a shock (we almost had it in the lift at the hospital!) but from what I know of long labours it's the right way to do it!

That's going to be an eventful story to tell on her wedding day :D

Pleased to hear your good news :j
Here I go again on my own....

Anyone got much experience of Braxton Hicks contractions? I seem to have been getting rather a lot of them today.....they're not painful enough to be the real thing, but at the same time I'm feeling a weird pressure 'down below'. I'm 35+1 and starting to get a bit worried!

I've been getting really painful braxton hicks lately. I'm 36+6 weeks. Last night they were so bad I thought I was in labour. I didn't get any with my first or if I did I didn't feel them.

Thanks, they've eased off a bit now thank goodness! Hope yours ease off too and you have a better night. These last few weeks seem to take forever don't they.

Congrats worto on the birth of your daughter.....I agree, it's a lovely name.

all is going really well - even getting more sleep than I thought I would, good luck all.
Excellent, congratulations! :j Glad to hear everything went/is going so well (I want a quick labour too!!!)

    Paracetamol, what a joke!

Got my free Emma's Diary pack yesterday. :j It's not as good as the Bounty one, but still not bad for a freebie. I expected some money-off coupons, but there weren't any in mine. :(

Still, got 3 freebies: a tiny tube of Palmer's stretchmark cream (which should last me all of two seconds ), a bag of Fruit Flakes, and a sun hat!

The sun hat is HUGE - it's almost too big for my almost 4-year-old DS who has a rather large head! But it's quite good, probably more suitable for a boy as it's a boring beige colour. First-time pregnant ladies can safely tuck it away for a couple of years as there's no way any newborns have heads that size! :rotfl:

Also, one of the leaflets was shaped as a bit of watermelon and provided DS with hours of entertainment last night  :rotfl:

Yes. The last month feels longer than my whole pregnancy.
