Hello! I'm full of a cold too - it's my 4th cold this year, and I've also had flu

I'm eating healthily (plenty of vitamins etc), and don't seem to be spending a lot of time with other 'ill' people so why on earth am I constantly blowing my nose, coughing and sneezing.......grrrr!

Congratulations to all the newbies, hope you all have nice easy pregnancies. I'm just glad mine will be over in about 5 weeks. Up until a couple of weeks ago I was quite enjoying having a bump, and being fussed over and told I was 'blooming' but I'm now just huge and uncomfortable lol!

Hi everyone.

Congratulations to the newbies on here.

I am 28 week pregnant tomorrow. I've woken up today after an awful nights sleep, with the most uncomfortable pain in my groin. I've had it a few times before especially when I am walking. The physio gave me a stretchy bandage to put on that area because of my sciatica- which funnily enough is feeling a lot better, however anyone know how long I can wear the bandage before I have to take it off as I am worried about restricting the babies movements.

Emma everyone's different and some women can be 20+ weeks before they feel movement and that's perfectly normal. I first felt something at 16 weeks and at 18 weeks could feel it from outside and now at 19+5 feel it every day but it's been only occasional up till now and sometimes hard to know if it's wind or baby... But I seem to have a very active baby and he wouldn't keep still for the scan yesterday, it may just be that yours is more chilled.

Hi all

I hope I have done the right thing - want to join you all. Found out 2 days ago I am pregnant so not due until 8th December (according to an online calculator!) Its really early days of course so I hope its not too soon to be here. I wasn't trying and its a huge shock. Terrified right now particularly about money (we have decent jobs but also a number of loans and cards etc). Anyway I am Cel and I am 26. married for 2 years and live in the Midlands.

i think its always a shock, dont worry about the money just try to enjoy being pregnant! if you have family/friends around you they will have some hand me downs, or offers f gifts im sure (if there anything like my parents and in laws itll be a fight to stop them buying!)

I too was shocked to discover my pregnancy and am slowly getting used to the idea.

Hope you have a lovely pregnancy and look forward to getting to know you in the coming months. I am due about a month before, but am waiting for my scan as I am not sure of my dates.

justie, thanx for that info.

I am in so much pain today. My nearly 2 yr old just wants cuddles and I have tried to explain to her that I can't keep picking her up, but she doesn't want to hear it today. Luckily it's a nice day so they are outside at the minute. I feel so embarrassed that I am crying with the pain at times. I'm supposed to be travelling 270 miles to Devon tonight but am worried it's going to be too much. I'll have OH with me but usually we share the driving. He may have to do the whole lot.

jen - it's safe to take a normal dose of paracetamol to help with the pain.

Have you got a heat pad or a hot water bottle? Heat helps mine. I'm currently sitting on a head pad at the moment, as I've got pain today!
