Hi all pregnant cheekas, mums and those ttc. I have added myself to the list below. I am currently 32wks and4 days gone. I had a midwives appointment this week and am measuring 6-8cm bigger than i should so i am going in for a scan on monday to check for extra fluid. I am a little worried now because i foolishly googled it and now am freaking out. The midwife did think it was probably just a case of big baby......which is also scary, my other 2 were quite large and they didn't pick up on it on any of the scans that i had (and i had 4 scans each)......i have visions of gigantic 1year old child coming out of me.

My other 2 little gems/horrors are my boy (3 1/2yrs) and my girl (22 months). As soon as i have this one OH maintains that he wants me filled straight away...in his own words not mine. Not much chance of that...my body needs a break!

ok, just about stopped shaking now. so here comes the stupid questions...
should i do another test (i have only done 1)?? if so how long should i wait?? the postitive sign came up straight away even thought i did the test in the afternoon.
also, can i use a hot water bottle on my tummy? i am not in any pain - it is just really cold tonight but i am scared i will cook my cells :rotfl:
sorry, think these are going to be the first of many questions cause i dont want to tell anyone just yet, that would be too much like tempting fate and there are some questions that you cant find the answer to by googling them!!

Hey incognito, I think one test is enough, as unlikely to be false, you either have the hormone or you don't. I only did two becase I had bought a pack of two. I really want one of those off the advert 'the most sophisticated piece of technology you'll ever pee on' :rotfl:, but no need to be spending the money.
I wouldn't personally put the hot water bottle on my tummy, but that's to do with hating to warm up my midriff - the veins dilate and I can feel my heartbeat, which leads to anxiety. I'd use the bottle on my extremities (put your wrists in warm water - that warms you right up). Although, I did ask the doc about hot baths and she was bemused - said that the body retains a temperature of 37 degs whatever, so it doesn't matter to the baby what the outside is. As long as I was comfortable...

I had the blood tests done today, got a bruise to prove it and got an ultrasound appointment for the 22 march, which is years away. I'm gonna be 30 by then!! :eek:

Hi everyone. Added another bouncing baby to the Birth list. Eve was born on 23rd November, 3 hours after waters was broken by midwife! Now 11 weeks old and absolutely gorgeous.

Wondering if anyone can give me some advice. Just trying to reduce breast feeds and begin introducing formula (preparing for leaving at childminders when I return to work mid April). Have introduced formula for one daytime feed - so far so good. Childminder is asking me to prepare feeds in advance and leave them with her each day - is this normal? Advice seems to suggest feeds should be made up when needed and not prepared hours in advance. Alternative would be to send my daughter with cartons of ready made formula - any ideas on suitable ready made formulas?

Would really welcome your thoughts.... all new to me.

Congratulations on the safe arrival of baby Eve.

Preparing formula milk in advance for the whole day isn't a problem and is something that most bottlefeeding mums would do as standard practice. The milk will keep in the fridge for up to 24 hours (obviously using sterilised bottles.)

From a moneysaving perspective, the ready made formula you can buy is really expensive and is more appropriate for trips away, when you're not going to have access to a fridge, than for daily use.
