hi all,
rachelja, how come you have had four scans now? hope all is okay. i havent had any since my 7 weeks one but guess what i have done today
ok, i know were on a money saving site, so all the MSErs just skip to the next post !!!!!
i have booked a private scan (i cant do the icons so imagine the one where the mouth gapes open)
as my MW said the dating scans are around 15 weeks here , and know that from bitter experience, so decided couldnt wait and what with the money im saving not drinking , and i quit smoking b4 found out was preg (good timing) i thought why not put my mind at rest
they are £70
so not very moneysaving but worth it for peace of mind i reckon (though have intense fear of scans after last year)

so anyway its on VALENTINES day awwwwwwwwwwww
and i should be 10 weeks plus around 5 days
still havnt told anyone yet that were expecting except parents. am so angry at my mum though as found out last night she has told family members, i found this out by one of them ringing to congratulate me (for those who dont know i had MC and therefore this preg is closely guarded secret till get to point i passed last time) feel betryed by parents and was so cross, but all i could do was cry!

hubby says if all goes well next weds we should tell people and spread the good news ourselves and im thinking maybe we will.

my EDD by my calculations and MWs is &th Sept but please dont add me to EDD list yet im waiting till after scan

i read steevees post to my hubby and told him he could learn a thing or two from it! so he bought me a huge bar of choc and turned footie off and let me watch what i wanted on telly...arrr how romantic!!

fac73, welcome to my world! Everyone on here seems so together don't they and when I got the pink line I didn't know what to do with myself. But with lots of research and help from 'those in the know' you get on with it (not that I am yet). About the delighted bit - my doctor asked me 'was it not wanted then?' just because I was so scared. It is such a shock after 6 months of disappointments.

Thank you to everyone for your twinge support. They have left me alone altogether today. That's my only symptom gone! Hee hee. (she says after her afternoon nap!):D

And emma_b I'm sorry about your parents blabbing. I'm upset with mine for entirely different reasons - hubby told everyone about our impending engagement before I ever knew about it, so I wanted to spread the baby news myself next month. Except my mother can't keep her so and so shut.

PS. Baby and I made a snowman today. It would be silly for an adult to build one on her own, but I am with child now...:rolleyes:

holy sh*t, i am pregnant. just done test!! still shaking. cant believe it, we only started trying this month, but not really trying if you see what i mean and i have polycystic ovaries and thought i was going to be on the TTC list forever. my OH is still at work, dont know how he is going to take it. he was just saying a couple of nights ago that he hoped it would take at least 6 mths so he could get his head round it. oh my god!!!

Woohoo. Many congrats. Just read your previous posts and you clearly sounded like you thought it could be difficult to conceive. How wrong you were :rotfl:

i know. i have been saying to him for years that we cant leave it too long cause it could take a while and i might need ivf and there are huge waiting lists for that. now dont i look silly!!!

you will get over the shock and shaking, i felt physically sick with nerves when i found out!!
how nice for you that it hasnt taken a long time, i know its a suprise but on the other hand if it had taken ages you would have started to worry and that doesnt make for easy baby making!
