sorry to hear it was so inconclusive Emma. Do they mean that the baby is 5 weeks old so 7 weeks from last period? I think early scans are a best guess scenario rather than an exact science. Try not to stress too much, although I'm sure it's hard. big hugs xx

I think sometimes the nurses etc at the hospital see so many pregnancies that they can often forget that it might be your first one, or that even if you have had other children, you don't get pregnant that often. It's sometimes difficult to be assertive with them too, as you feel too emotional to ask the questions that you badly need answers to. Would it make it easier for you if you had a list of anything you wanted to ask ready for next time you go - I did this once with my doctor, and I literally just handed him the list and said 'This is what I can't ask you because I'll cry'. I really wish you all the very best, and hope next week brings some better news. ((hug))

they said do you want to see a doctor but i wanted to go home and the scan hasnt given me any answers so i really dont know
they said well its good news its not a blighted ovum again....erm no, good news would be its a baby....not a different type of MC.........
    (sigh)
well suppose i just have to forget about it and wait

an MC isnt a medical emergency and is extremely common so you dont get the treatment you would get for other things. they see it all the time. but its my 2nd now and i got upset just when they said is this your 1st pregnancy and i have to say no and tell them what happened.

i dont want it to be no its my 3rd pregnancy next time and still no baby

    arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    thankyou for the replies xxxx
  • The earlier they are doing measurements, the less accurate they are because everything is is small. If they measure 1mm different it might make a difference of a whole week at the early stages but only a day later on so I wouldn't worry too much about the figures they give for dates at the moment.

    Hi all,
My husband and I are in a tiny London flat, on a tight budget and are expecting our first bub (v.v.v. excited :j ).

While there'll obviously be space for bub and the cot, we'll have to be stringent about what we buy to save space and are considering going without a buggy/pushchair/travel system/pram and sticking to the absolute essentials (cot, car-seat, clothes, etc.). We got an excellent baby sling for Christmas, which should be suitable once baby outgrows the Moses basket (a loaner). And we live near town (5 mins) and parks and green space (across the road).

Are we being too naive/ambitious to go without a pushchair? Comments/experiences/similar stories, good or bad, would be much appreciated.

Hope you're all well and enjoying your pregnancy (I'm really loving it :rotfl: - 26 weeks.)

    Babitee.

I'm sure you COULD manage without one, particularly in the early few weeks, as they are very portable lol. But I think you would struggle once your baby gets a bit bigger and heavier to carry. Plus you don't just need to carry the baby, it's all the other stuff (nappies, bottles if you are using them, wipes, food and drink when they get a bit older etc etc). I don't know if it's any help to you, but we just bought a cheap one last time, it folds up very small, and we stored it in the boot of the car as we didn't have anywhere in the house for it!

Edited to say 'Congratulations by the way :)'
