Yes that's right as the longer the thread, the harder work it is for the servers and they can overload

Over on Notice to Newcomers (Troll warning thread) we close down and open new thread after 4000 posts - we have just opened Part 7!!

Ann - you would just open up a new thread called 'Frightened about my future - Part 2', put a brief explanation on the first post and a link to this thread. Then close down this thread so no-one keeps posting in the dark!!

Edit: re closing down the thread - the Board Guide 'Fermi' will do that for you once you open a part 2

Thanks everyone for the advice re starting a new thread.

I had no idea we had got that big!

Will look at how to create version 2 - presumably everyone who visits regularly will know where to find us. Not sure about those who only log on occasionally, though.
