Dont worry NID. Blue Peter Badge will be on its way soon.

Big smile. Even if you dont need to do housework. I will be sending it to Ann and she can send it to you so we dont blow your cover.

Hooray! Just woke up! Have i missed an important football match? Come on Rangers? Have we won?

    :j

    Morning (everyone) :hello:

Noooo we lost 2.1 but doesn't matter really - the league is irrelevant cos we're already champions :D

Hope you all have a good day

    Morning everyone,

Have just logged on - have disciplined myself to do other things before coming on here

Hope you are OK SW, and not still tired

Good to hear from you, George. I agree that this thread has got a bit long - but not ALL the contributions are from women!

And, NID, really, really sorry to hear about Rangers. Good that you are being philosophical about it!

Also, I haven't heard of a lot of those telly programmes! Must be an age thing - I do remember Muffin the Mule, though!

    Good morning everyone.

SW - Well done on the outstanding lesson!!!
NID - Sorry about Rangers, at least you're the champions - must be some of NID's superpowers rubbing off!
Ann- I hope the post only brings good news not more worries like yesterday.

BTW we didn't have a tv until I was 8!

    Thanks Pixiechick,

I was (nearly) 8 when we got our first telly! For the Coronation (of the present Queen, before the clever comments start!)

Plus, I also remember my first trip to London - to the Festival of Britain!

If only we had the ability to turn back time!

Morning Ann and your merry band of followers

I was about 6 or 7 when we got our first TV - I came home from school when the TV man was there fitting it and The Woodentops were on (Spot the dog!) but ending up in tears cause it went off and the man had to take it back and bring another one the next day. When I think abut what that TV looked like compared to the 32" LCD TV we have now (no I'm not bragging) - I LOVE Muffin the Mule - I think he started my lifelong love of donkeys!! :D Torchy Torchy the Battery Boy - Twizzle - Rag Tag and Bobtail - Bill & Ben - and I definitely think that Niddy deserves a Crackerjack pencil!!

And I can only imagine what the Festival of Britain was like to visit - it must have been amazing

Ah those were the days :D:D

It does matter...we should have won!! It should have been a game about pride and 'showing who's 'Simply the Best'...not going out there thinking 'oh well, this game doesn't matter' Every game matters!

Blimey !! everyone is showing their ages now......so okay I'll join in. Forget the children's programmes....does anyone remember a programme called " Oh Boy "...it featured to groups and singers. I remember drooling over Cliff Richard singing with the Shadows, amongst others......Billy Fury, Joe Brown, and many more ( I can't remember) I must have been about 7 at the time, so it would have been around 1958/59......Now look what you've all done...*.elsie wanders off to reminice......when I was a gal.!!*
