EEK:eek: I'd be having kittens in your position. I do have a different way of thinking to you though - so simply dont believe in leaving important things to "fate". I believe in planning my life - and dealing quicksharp with anything that threatens to disrupt those plans (of any description). So - a very different mindset to yours I can see...:)

I do hope that you've had that MAP by now and everything is back on course in your life.

Surely though, life is sometimes about surprises and spontaneity or it would just be boring, I am not saying be irresponsible but sometimes life throws things at us! Hope everything is ok puzzled x

I agree Laura some of my surprises have changed my life completely and in a good way. However I do understand that planning is needed by some people and for some situations. Pregnancy scares can also make you sit down and really think about having children. I fell pregnant by accident sadly had a miscarriage which made me think that I really did want a child and was ready, I now have a 9 month old son. Its an individual choice as you are the only person who will know if your ready for children and after all it will be your life that will be changing.

Oh and on a side note my mother took a MAP and low and behold I have a sister who is now 10 years old.

the MAP as far as I can gather wont affect an established pregnancy, I am more worried about where this poor ladies coil has gone! I hope for her sake they find it, and i dont mean to be facetious here - but a quick run over with a metal detector may be in order! it could have fallen out completely and i hope thats the case.
good luck hun - i hope you find the coil and I also hope you arent pregnant.

    Hi All :)

Just a quick drop in :)

i'm fine :) OH adn i are looking forward to the scan so we know where the blighter has gone. Everything else is down to fate.

I know its sappy to say i will plan everything but if fate interviense so be it - but like double stadnards ;)

Will be on tomos (at work as usual lol) to give a more detailed update and thanks for the comments. Im one that invites every opinion possible becuase by looking at things from different angles the whole circle can be seen.

Gosh, all that philosophy calls for chocolate, bring on the nutella :D

    Was it a minera?

There is very little metal in them so finding them is hard. It doesn't always show up on an ultrasound and even an xray can miss them. I didn't get to my xray appointment but have just been told that if I ever have an unexplained pain to go get checked out. They do most often fall out vaginally, but who checks the loo every single time they go?

    Hi Tiamai,

It was a non hormone copper one (i think its minera but im not positive) i had a scan a year or so ago following on from some kidney issues and the nurse commented that she had a nice clear shot of it so hopefully if its still there they will find it :)

If they dont find it then we will have to assume its fallen out and the next one can get fitted which will take life back to normal.

Sorry about the spelling last night, was in a bit of a rush lol

    Thanks again

Just another update - im over thinking so have decided to rant away on here.

I feel ill, normally would put it down to something i ate/being stressed/crappy work etc.

But now, im over thinking it and seeing things that are probably not there and its mega frustrating lol.

    My symptoms are;

    tired
headaches (since friday on and off)
feeling sick all of the time (since saturday)
    no apetite (since yesterday)
grumpy (some would say all of the time, however only since sunday if you ask me)

I was in bed by 8:30 last night and asleep by 9, woke up with the alarm this morning and still very, very tired.

Now i dont even know if those are symptoms of being preggo, or if you would even notice them at this stage, and the MAP has to be quite reliable and as i bled as well there is more chance that it did work.

But im still sat here feeling a bit off colour waiting for the 15th/16th so i can do a test.

Its gonna be a mega long week!

Puzzledbubbles, I've been lurking but know nothing about coils, MAP etc., so didn't want to post, but you sound like you need a cuddle. Have a dodgy MSe one :grouphug:,

Now, you are right, some of these symptoms do suggest pregnancy, but they also suggest symproms of the MAP, and a number of viruses, viral infections and being run down /stressed. Which you probably definitely are. Try and stop thinking about it (I know it's not that easy) because whatever will be, will be. You cannot change it until you know, and you can't find out for another week. So fogeddabarit!!!!!
GHet your OH to take you to the movies tonight, do something distracting and see how your body reacts. You might be pregnant, You might be ill. Or you might have an overactive imagination due to stress.

    Take care. X

OH is off gallevanting with work tonight but am gonna see if one of the girls fancies the pics or something, you are right, i am suffering with an over active imagination.

Thank you for the reality check, i definately needed it :)

I have managed to eat a scone with butter (left over from yesterdays lunch) and am thinking about braving an apple in an hour or so. Am making up for no food by putting sugar in my tea instead of sweetener, check me out being a rebel lol.
