Hi - how did your colposcopy go - i've got one next week & I'm absoulutly cacking myself0

I'm glad everything is ok Puzzled atleast your ok and your happy.
Love and best wishes

Hi Virgin, the colopscopy was actually ok, there was a long wait for the appointment becuase the consultant was giving so much information.
the examination itself was ok, the nurses were lovely and really put me at ease and explained everything they were doing, they even had a camera to "see" things better and were distracting me by pointing out what each part was.
In the end they have decided i need to go in for an operation, partly because i have lots of abnormal cels and they cant see how far into my cervix they go, but also because they cannot do anything without removing my coil (which is still totally stuck)
The biopsys that they took were sore and i did have a bit of discomfort for the rest of the day, but my appointment was late afternoon so i was just able to go home to bed
I would say that you just need to stay positive and remember that the drs know best,
its much better that they find something now and fix you than leave it for years without you knowing about it and then you get really poorly - or worse!
if you want to ask any specific questions then feel free to PM me

Hi All,
Just an update for you, im off to have the coil removed and the abnormal cells zapped tomorrow, a day in hospital under general anesthetic and then a couple of days off work and the months of worrying should be all sorted hopefully.
I have decided not to go back on the coil and am now taking the pill for a little while, we have decided to wait for a baby for another year or so unless we are given a surprise
Thank you for all of the support you guys gave me
just wanted to let you know what happened in the end lol

Hi Puzzled
Just read through your thread, aww, I was sad that you weren't pregnant after reading through it all, but things happen for a reason. I can tell from how you write and speak that a baby would make you so happy, you sound like you havea supportive OH too.
Good luck tomorrow and with the baby making, just get plenty of practice until then hahaha.
Take care
