Is there anyway of searching on facebook for your name in status updates to see if you have won? The couple of times I've won I've been told I'd won rather than me actually notice it ITMS, thanks x

Got an email back today about the Top Trumps prize that I won saying it's not just the cards it's a board game as well & I need to send someone to collect it with the winners letter. I have emailed back saying nowhere did it mention after to collect prizes in the T&C's, and also the comp was open to all of the UK so if someone outside Yorkshire had won would they have been expected to collect the prize? [STRIKE]Will see what they reply to that, might get ASA/ISP (whatever it's called now lol) involved if needed as surely they should have mentioned if prizes had to be collected? Is it just me now taking this too far? My daughter would love the Top Trumps cards, not sure what the game is offhand but if it's football related like the cards I'm sure she'd love it.[/STRIKE]

They have now said they will post out, I have given them my new address as we move in about 2 weeks so hopefully it's sorted now.

Well done PMS - Hopefully if the only want regional entries in future they will change their T & C's or if the are keeping the comps open to all in UK the next winner will not need to go through all that carp to get their prize

He didn't seem able to send them out at first but the fact I wasn't willing to give in & I quoted the T&C's back at him helped

I recall a Sheffield Star comp where a prize had to be collected but all the prizes, I have won have been posted out.

I wouldn't mind if some local competitions did specify that you had to collect the prize from their offices. It would be good to know that the competition was aimed at locals, but they should really make it clear in the T & C's, so well done for not giving in.

That's the thing Marg2k8 if it had said to be collected in the terms I wouldn't have entered but it said 'open to all in the UK' so therefore anyone could have won (and possibly will have because I think it was 8 winners in total) so surely they can't expect anyone from the UK to collect from Wakefield???
