Just thought would drop in, not going to be spending as much time on here now, things to do, places to go etc:D Will still be lurking about here and there but not going to be posting comps other than the Real People magazine one I do each week as well as the online puzzler ones:D Thought would give you a heads up then someone else can check the sites and post them so others dont miss out:D The ones I have checked on a regular basis are: Empire, For Parents By Parents, Totz2teens, The Baby Website, Baby Expert, Card Making and Papercraft, GMTV

    Good luck all:D

I entered a comp on Facebook, where all you had to do was 'like' a post of theirs, and they posted today saying that I had won...but my name is really common and I just searched through all the people who have 'liked' their posts and theres one other woman with the same name as me and I have no idea which one of us has won! :D
I'm not too bothered about the prize so I think I'll just wait and see if it comes in the post. If it does it'll be my first win! If it doesn't it'll be another near miss :p
Best wins: Tefal pan set, microwave, £500 shopping vouchers, £500 Princesse Tam Tam vouchers, £100 cash

I do wonder about some of these Facebook and Twitter comps. There seems to be so many that need you to 'like' them on FaceBook or 'Follow' them on Twitter and that's the last you ever hear of it.

they would have to contact you for your address so guess they would contact you if it was you, you could always ask though? same think happened to me with a more fb comp and it wasn't me :(

i've had a quite a few wins via both methods but there are some which do seem a bit suspiscious and i do doubt whether they really have prizes. most twitter ones do seem to announce the winners at least

Ah yeah, you're right...I can imagine it happening to a lot of people with common names! They should at least tag you in their status if you've won!

this is when i wish my mum had given me her surname! there's only 39 people with her surname on the whole of facebook and at least 10 of those are her family that we know of! Even if i search for my full name there are more than 500! Why didn't she know that i would start comping and it would matter lol! :rotfl:

A rip off in so many ways

Loads of comps forbid 3rd party and bulk entries anyway.

totally agree with the above, in some cases, some companies would disqualify + since I don't think they will tell you which comps they entered you for, you might disqualify yourself again if/when you enter a comp. 200 is not a lot at all when you are talking about online entries as there are so many people entering those since they are free

Lol :D You could always use her surname for comping? ;)
It turns out I didnt win, the 'other' me commented on their FB status saying thanks! If it was a prize I actually cared about winning then I think i'd be REALLY upset about being soooo close...but it wasn't anything amazing so I just find it very funny :rotfl:
