Seem to be rather a lot of newer posters complaining about tesco fuel.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

And they will tell you where to go if you approach them with that attitude.

    Steps to take
Write and DEMAND the cctv of your purchase under data protection, do not ask or request DEMAND.
State you require the full view of the entire station.

Out of interest, what is it that you want to see on this video?

rpg7 - do you have the receipt from your purchase? That could probably confirm if you bought diesel or petrol. Of course Tesco could still argue that you bought petrol somewhere else by mistake.

Thats the point, they are not going to admit it, so give them enough rope...

Did you contact the Chronicle and Echo?

More likely to find any others with similar symptoms or locall workshops via the local paper.

EDIT....within a few seconds of starting to fill either of my cars, one petrol one Diesel, i can smell the fuel going in, did you not smell petrol as you filled?

    Thanks for the C&E idea,

Unfortunately the big supermarkets will try to walk all over you if you are polite, so I would second doing things by the book, because it is not "attitude", it simply shows that you will not be messed around.

I'm sorry that you had this problem, but why wasn't the road blocked with other cars stuttering to a halt? Definitely be assertive with the supermarkets HQ, but you need both an expert opinion on what was in the tank and a mass of similarly affected customers before you'll get anywhere.
