when I rang a few weeks ago they offered me 25% for 12 months I said no.. cancel it.. she tries to talk me around, I said no cancel it.. she said ok let me look what else we can do for you.. she then offered 2 months at 40% off and told me to ring back when that had finished to see if any more offers had come up.. I had had enough by then so I accepted but I wonder what I could have got if I kept saying No.

I went through to reduce package and only got 25% off for three months - in Sept will have to go through to Cancel.
I have full Sky+ and multi room - what would an equivalent package on NTL cost ?

We've got quite poor freeview reception and so am considering satellite digital. With this present deal for new Sky subscribers, £15 pm for 2 mixes and Sports or Movies free for 6 months, are you able to cancel after 12 months and continue using the dish/box for free to air channels without further payment? To get Freesat from Sky is £150 but for £180 I could have some extra channels and Sports for 6 months then revert to Freesat after. Have I understood this right? TIA
  • if you are registered with cdwow! and a new sky customer you can get 5 months at half price and a voucher for £35 to spend at cdwow! got this in an email yesterday . i am seriously thinking of using this offer as i wasnt really interested in the free sports or movies. just to add this offer is valid till 30th september...

Called now. Offered 20% off for 12 months (tie-in) or 5 months half price. Took half price, will call back in 5 months :)
  • I got a year at 25% off which works out at 6 months half price so I'm well happy! I called and told them i was fed up with seeing good offers for new customers and none for existing ones-discount on the spot!

So are you all speaking to cancellation department - or just the first person you get too ?
If at first you don't succeed - destroy all evidence that you tried.
