  • Silver Savers comes from the term Silver Surfers, users of the internet who aren't in the "first flush of youth" I don't see that it indicates that anyone is elderly :)

It's an Americanism, the term was developed to describe people with silver - that is grey - hair who use computers and surf the net. It clearly indicates the elderly.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

No, I don't have a problem with it either. I have a few very blonde hairs mixed up with the mousy brown which my hairdresser tells me is actually dark blonde, so I don't know if I'll ever go Silver, but I am at the younger end of the board.

Maybe we should be Gold or Platinum however?

My Mum lived to be 94 and said that she couldn't really believe that she was really that age - she said she felt about 40 something. I don't care what I get called (tho I somewhat dislike 'pensioner') I will still dye my hair red if I want.
  • I am soon to be a Young Age Pensioner.

I'm blonde because it says so on the bottle ;)

My suggestion: Moneysaving for later in life
