Your half right mattjonze about the cheap electricals but believe it or not your JVC model is made in the same factory as the Alba,Bush and Goodnans and all the other cheap branded goods.
In some cases it's just the different brand name on the label and a slight design difference with the model or more features on it and a different shade or colour that the branded company wants.
Just because it says JVC on the name plate and label does not mean it's made by them and their quality is better.
I used to make the 20" CRT TV's and JVC used the best tubes on the market at the time and they were Philips, oh and I was responsible for quality of these CRT's!
The Bush, Alba Goodman tv's all had had very cheap CRT's in them so no surprised there.0 -
I was just going to say that, my wife used to work for Thorntons and I'm pretty certain Cadburys don't make stuff for them. As for electrical goods being rebranded, I once opened up a Hitachi 28" widescreen telly to find that the tube and all the major components were Phillips. I was particularly surprised by that as I was under the impression that Hitachi were one of the few companies who actually have a CRT plant....
Rich :¬)
My ye olde toshiba 28 crt had a phillips part in it - pos the tube.0 -

I have no brand preference and can get to Asda, Tesco, Aldi, Lidl, Netto and Sainsburys. I was using Asda Smart Price but it now leaves my clothes smeling of chlorine and also is generally not as strongly scented as I'd like.
My mum uses tescos imitation of persil/areal tablets, it seems to work for her fine.
Have not tried myself because I am chicken! and I also kinda like the new areal gel bottles too much, its a gimmik I know but it makes me smile and do a dull job with a bit more of a spark!!:D0 -
Just wondered if anyone knows any other brands that are shared with either Clinique or Clarins skin care?0

I don't understand why the manufacturers stopped doing washing machine liquids in refill pouches. A disposed empty pouch takes up so much less room in the bin and hence landfill. The original bottle can be reused for ever virtually.0
