Right have to go to sleep a bit tired. Please try to sleep. But Jolly well done. Focus on the positive. You have your job, your family and plans for the future the world is your oyster my friend. Wow, that sure was a long meeting. Happy to hear that you still have your job but none of us doubted that. As said before, you are too good an employee for them to want to sack you. They know when they are onto a good thing. And cutting away early is not so serious (unless somebody died because of it!). By the way, I love your sense of humour re the barrister - keep hold of your humourous side and you'll be ok.
I know you may not be feeling blessed right now but you surely are.
We are all so proud of you.
Take care.

so glad it went Ok. Use this time to look for better routes to financial freedom for yourself. I know what its like to be under that kind of microscope and its not fun. Just plod through the days, look at it as money in the bank and no more. Fell asleep at 3ish, up at 6 with the kids wanting breakfast and using me as as a trampoline. Strange calm set over me after the last few days of insanity. I know I was not in a good place and need to get this sorted. Shower, cricket on the TV, iron a shirt. Mundane things for what I hope will be a mundane day. 2 days left then 7 days off. I will use the 7 days to these things.
I will do tai chi every day.
Attend counselling on wednesday - my god I hope they are ready for me!
Yoga at least three days.
Swimming every day
I will get my wembley tickets
I will become stronger & I will get better
Right - shower, another coffee, breakfast of poached eggs on toast and watch the cricket - tricky one this. England V west Indies. Divided loyalties as wife is West Indian!

William, do you realise exactly how many people here prayed, wished and visualised for you? If you don't just pop over to the Memorygirl Matrix tread here and you shall see. This was all done because you are our friend, you are here and you needed support. But next time the little devil in your head starts saying silly things (like 'I am useless', 'The World will be a better place without me' and the like) please do remember us.
I believe that there is nothing you (or any of us for that matter) could not do (dcouble negative but necessary) - and I hate to be wrong (so very occasionally am).
And the note - very pleasing development indeed. So, I propose you support the West Indies.

Me too!!! I was soo happy about the note i told my best friend at work about you and I was a bit hysterical yesterday praying and talking about you in whispered conversations. Poor guy he kept trying to calm me down but he thought you were great. Caring is not allowed any more at work it is a business! When i read about the note and told him we couldn't stop laughing it was a sign that everything was going to be fine.
Hooray, hoooray, hooray!!!
You need to rest today. Today because of you i feel like this:Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Breakfast been and gone. Slight headache developing, but will drink some berroca & vit c.
I cannot thank the people on here (posters and lurkers alike) that thought positive thoughts for me. My wife stated that I have what is called bouncebackability. I hope thats true, as I think I will need it. I have started a list. This will be about all the anger that I feel towards the management, the job, how I feel let down, the lack of suppport, the betrayal, all of the negativity. I will bring it to the counselling session and hold nothing back.
This saturday I will be taking the wife away. The kids will be staying with her brother, and we will have some US time. A nice hotel, a bottle of champagne or three and quality time with each other.
Hang the expense. This is needed.
FW, we have decided that she will support england and I will support the Windies!0 -
